5.0 out of 5 stars Be a part of cool-pop revival (? ), June 21, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Midnight Shift (Audio CD)
Among many forgotton cool bands in '80's, Dislocation Dance is the one that you should dig up if you are a real fun of "cool" pop music. Although more than a decade passed since the album was originally released, their well-crafted jazzy-and-a-bit-snobby (a kind of atmosphere you'll find in '60's French pop music, I suppose) cool-pop songs are still fresh and inspiring. Vinyl Japan was kind and sophisticated enough to re-issue one of their masterpieces which would easily make other fake "pop" artists tasteless. (Their other album called "Music, Music, Music" has been also reissued by Vinyl Japan.) Try this album if you are bored with a current sell-out pop music.
