Samantha Young has written a great story full of secrets, love and betrayal. I loved this series, it is now joining my group of favourites of all time. I loved the tension between Eden and Noah, that their relationship was not perfect. Her love for her bother Stellan was beautiful, even if she thought they were all monsters. He was her strength when she was weak, her only light in the darkness. *teary* I loved the fight scenes and of course the steamy ones too. *swoon* Noah is definitely a keeper. There is so much to say about this series that I just can't put into words.

Eden is a strong leading female, no doubt about it. She fights for the underdog even when she is being a @*%&$. I loved how she was willing to step in and defend people, no matter what it cost her. I had some definite respect for her. I loved how there was so many different sides to Eden. Sure she was nasty at times, nice at others, but she was also a loyal friend, loving sister, and tortured heroine. The stuff she had been through would make most people break, but not her, though I think this is mostly due to her brother. He made her see that she could be more than a monster, that he wanted her to be more. He was her pillar when she needed it most. I loved his character, makes me wish I had a brother like him.

Noah is a warrior, trained to fight and kill soul-eaters. He believes in his duty and has never had a problem doing his job. Until now. He doesn't like what he is sent to do to Eden, hates himself for being part of it. It was hard watching him struggle with his duty and what he felt for Eden. He's a perfect match for Eden, just what she needed. He was fighting for her even when she didn't want anything to do with him. He refused to let her destroy herself with her own hatred.

This collection of books are meant to be read all together. This book isn't meant for people with delicate stomachs. It has a lot of evil doings, but also some great romance. The heroine isn't a sit back and let the man save u girl. She is a all out kick butt and oh I want me some of that girl. I really like this author and she does a marvelous job of developing her characters, making u laugh and cry, but most of all carrying u away on a wonderful story. This book I finished in a few days. I could but it down, but it is long so best to know that u might not get much done when u start reading it. The hero in the store is the perfect balance of strong and caring. Definitely for 18+.

The story line sounded pretty good, and I usually enjoy reading books in this genre. I read the first book in the series and am halfway through the second. The only reason I'm still reading is because I paid good money, but really it's not a bad read, it's just not holding my attention. I find I'm getting bored with the story very easy. I'm reading the story the same way I would eat lima beans, a little at a time and forcing myself. I've definitely read better, I've also read worse. My suggestion, get the first book in the series for $0.99, instead of the whole series at once, and see if you get into it. If you do, good for you. If not, you've saved yourself $$ by just tasting a sample instead of buying the whole plateful.

There are 3 books in this Omnibus: 1) Blood Will Tell; 2) Blood Past; & 3) Shades of Blood & all 3 were excellent! These stories are about a teen named Eden; in the 1st book you learn about her family & what they want her to do to the human population & how she gets away from her family (which all of them except her brother Stellan are evil). In the 2nd book she learns about her new life with ups & downs & also falls in love. In the 3rd book she has to make a choice about killing someone or not to; but you will have to read the books to find out who this person is & what she decides to do. Again this was an excellent series!

Really had a great time reading this series. Beware that it is not for the very young YA readers out there. It is fairly dark and deals with adult subject matter and relationships. The characters are very likeable, the plot strong and the language on the more advanced side for the YA reader. I love Tobe and the Douglas' clan, Cyrus, Noah - all the people surrounding Eden were so great! I did feel the loss of Stellan pretty deeply, but the struggle that Eden went through in dealing with that loss was beautifully handled. I would love to see more books in the future - there are so many possibilities!

The three books actually flowed like a single long story perhaps more than any other series I have read so having an all in one was a really good idea. Very dark story of heroine being raised, essentially, by a supernatural serial killer family and the conflict within since she has the makings of one herself and is trying to fight it. Good world building, strong characters, tight plot line with minimal holes. Author still needs a good editor to help with spelling/grammar type issues which annoyed me but was not enough to make me quit reading a very fine story.

I read the first book and did not want to continue the series. Because she's become one of my favorite authors recently, I decided to finish it a few weeks later and I am not regretting it at all. In fact, this may be one of my favorite series of hers. That and The Tale of Lunarmorte. I love both.

If you have doubts about the series, please try your best to finish it. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised to find I enjoyed it much more as the series went on. Lovely.
