Unfortunately, the plot twists and turns are too incredulous to accept. An out-of-towner young woman arrives in the Big Apple on the last day of the year. Can't reach her fiance by phone, gets drunk waiting at the airport, then is picked up by a cab driver, sees her fiance making out with a girl on the street corner (in the bloody coldest time of the year in NY?), goes to dinner with the cab driver she has JUST met, has stupid, forced arguments that he brushes off, agrees to stay in cab driver's spare bedroom(drinks a martini in seconds flat with no consequences), agrees to go out to Times Square with said cab driver, kisses said cab driver and goes back to his place to have sex, then, please--it gets even better--insults and berates said cab driver after satisfying night of sex, then said cab driver she has JUST met and bitched out rounds up friends and friend's families to dress in togas (remember: January in NY) and serve Greek food for the woman's presentation so she can get a job at a museum because he wants to see her again. Just a wee bit too much fantasy for a contemporary romance. Grammar and spelling were okay though.

It's New Year's Eve, and Sophie has just flown into NYC. She quit her job, leaving her family and friends in Oregon to move in with her fiancee and make a fresh start in the Big Apple. When she catches her fiancee cheating on her, she thinks her life is ruined. She has no home, all the hotels are booked for New Year's, she has no job or friends. A sexy cab driver saves her New Year's and gives her a reason to stay.

This story is very short and sexy. Sophie and Noah hit it off instantly, and although it's hard to believe any woman's capable of catching her fiancee with another woman and then moving on to another guy in the same day, it still makes for a good read. At the end, Sophie and Noah discussing getting two friends of theirs together. I'd like to read their story, too.
