This review is from: Midsomer Murders:Death in Disguise [VHS] (VHS Tape)
In the shade of the Lodge of the Golden Wind Hoarse we find that a dispute between the founders William Carter (Robert Pickavance) and Ian Craigie (Michael Feast) the founders are having a dispute as to wither to cash and run or build on a new way of life. The dispute may have turned into something nasty except for an accidental fall and a broken neck. Later people begin to wonder if it was an accident as later someone is almost flattened by a stone ball. We are introduce to a lot of obscure characters and are in for a regression, Gaius Quintus (Judy Cornwell.) Added to the group is a gripy old but very rich curmudgeon Guy Gamelin (Miles Anderson.) He is upset to find that his daughter taken in to the Loge is about to donate 3 million quid to a bunch of nutters. D.C.I. Barnaby (John Nettles) with his trusty sidekick Detective Sergeant Troy (Daniel Casey,) must determine if it is murder or an accident and if he does not hurry there maybe another demise or two. And is Christopher Wainwright (Stephen Moyer) the photographer who covered the war in Rwanda harboring a dark secret. Do not over look Ken and Heather Beavers. You will need to watch this several times to get all the nuances. Midsomer Murders - Set One |
