Biography

Steve Hackett abandoned his plans for a career as a harmonica player when he joined Genesis in late 1971. With Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks, he enjoyed phenomenal success, with 1973’s Selling England By The Pound and 1974’s concept album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway gaining “Classic Album” status. 5.0 out of 5 stars Shakespeare Would Have Been Proud, July 24, 2004

This review is from: Midsummer Night's Dream (Audio CD)
I picked this album up at the PX one afternoon during a year that I was portraying Demetrius in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at my high school many years ago. I wanted to be inspired and this album did exactly that.

Classical guitar complimented by orchestra- it doesn't get much better than this. The notes are light and expertly played, creating an atmosphere that nearly surrounds you as you listen. To this day, this album is one of the best for putting me in a wonderful and nostalgic mood. This album just plain makes you feel *good*.

I don't need to rate the tracks to this album, simply because it is heavenly from beginning to end, with no down sides and no sour notes.
