NBA ballers phenom is a great game and is really fun to play. What midway basically did was "advance" or fix the original NBA ballers who stared Stephon Marbary. Midway made the graphics better, gameplay better, a litte more extra moves and nice layout. The layout looks cool and is way better then how it used to look. The reason why I give this game a 4 star rather then 5 star is the loading & the game itself. Ok I have to admit the loading is pretty long but its all worth it. What I mean about the game itself is that its more for teens. I mean the whole thing of "ballers" I am not sure kids under 10 understand what it means and how to "bring it" in the game. The original NBA ballers I would say is more for kids, but since midway enhanced this game rather then change the whole thing, I would say It is a blast for teens 13+. So what I am getting too is if you are under the age of 12 or 13 wait until AND 1 Streetball comes out. But if your over 13 years of age then then go out and grab a copy of this game cause its a blast!

Picked up this game several days ago for my son, and we have not been able to stop playing it! Can't belive I haven't seen or heard too much about this title...it's great fun. Combines the best of 'NBA Jam' type arcade style play, along w/fine graphics, exciting gameplay, photo-quality player likeness, and many, many different things to do and see. My only gripe is the painfully long load times between scenes, but worth waiting for. At under $20.00, it's a rare find. Enjoy this under-rated, FUN game!

Game is a lot of fun with many different things to do. It was shipped in a timely manner as well.

this is the best streetball game i have played. the gameplay is not to unrealistic and yet not to realistic.the only downside is that the story is a bit weak.

The game, NBA Ballers Phenom, was just right when it got here and my grandson said it was "sweet". Guess I got the right thing. I do not feel that the game should be rated E. There is alot of violence and blood and bad language in it, but you have no control of that. I was completely satisfied

The game is somewhat fun, overall, but the load times are torture. Also, there is a free roaming aspect in the shopping districts, but the camera never changes, so you can't rotate your direction (you can't see behind anything, and they frequently hide things behind objects). Why can't you know what's new in your wardrobe? I stopped trying to equip different clothes and shoes and such because of how long it takes to scroll between wardrobe changes, merely to see what a new item gave you in terms of benefits to stats. If you liked the first Ballers, you'll probably like this one, if only for a little while. I bought it 75% off, and am glad I did. If you love the soundtrack, they throw in a CD of it, which is nice--I love the two NFL Street soundtracks and wish they'd done that.

I bought this game about a week ago. I had not purchased the prequil (sp?) to this game and did not know what to expect.
I began playing the game and immediately got bored about 30-45 minutes later. I have no played the game since. Here's why:
The graphics, to me, are ridiculously annoying. It makes the game feel so unrealistic. The graphics are a step lower than "NBA Street" and even more unrealistic. The real problem is that there is just nothing to do. You enter tournements and they all feel the same. The little side missions are laughable, and I feel like turning off my Ps2 and smashing the controller on my head repetitively everytime I play one of them.
I can go on and on about why I hated this game. But I won't. The bottom line is that I strongly urge you not to waste your money. The cover and appearance of the game appealed to me and made me want to buy the game...but don't let that happen to you.

After playing this game for the third time I had a thought, 'WHY DID I BUY THIS!' This game is extremely unoriginal and gets boring very quickly. I cannot notice any difference and improvements from the first ballers and other NBA Street's. Save your money and do not purchase this dreadful game.
