5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
This is a great product. It is relatively light weight and it folds nicely for storage. It's better than a plain kneeling pad because you're off the ground just a bit and the side handles make it easier to get up and down (my wife and I are both in our late 60's, and getting up and down ain't that easy any more :-). When you turn it over, it is a great seat, so you...

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy
I purchased this bench and found it sturdy, easy to fold, BUT all of the little rubber ends and pieces (to plug the holes) were not securely put on. They have all fallen off and I got tired of looking for them and putting them back on. Also, my T-shirt sleeves are always catching on the ends of the handles that stick out. I wish I had bought one with the rounded...

When you turn it over, it is a great seat, so you can use if for kneeling when you're planting and then turn it over to use as a seat when pruning or if you just want to rest. It is very well constructed and very sturdy.

After looking at several similar products I purchased this kneeler and have been satisfied with it after using it a few times. It is quite sturdy and fairly comfortable. The only thing that I would like to see on it (which I didn't see on any other models anyway) might be slightly wider feet so that it wouldn't sink into softer ground so much. I might just add some base plates to it myself. Overall I am happy with this product. I'll probably buy another one for my wife.

This is a very sturdy, well built product. It folds for easy storage. I am very pleased with it. It has no problems holding up 200+ pounds.
Thinking about purchasing a second one for my country garden. I would recomend this item to anyone.

Garden Kneeler Bench.

This bench is very hand for me as I have bad knees and it is hard to get up and down from the floor. I require something firm to hold onto to do this. I can use this kneeler for all sorts of projects. If I were to suggest an improvement, I would say the padding is pretty hard. However, I can add another pad of my own and that works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Garden Kneeler Knee Saver, May 27, 2008
This review is from: Midwest Gloves and Gear 53, Kneeler Bench (Lawn & Patio)
The garden bench kneeler is a life saver in the garden. I have Rhematoid Arthritis (RA) and kneeling for any length of time is difficult -- getting up is the big challenge. The bench allows a softer kneel time, and the side handles make getting up oh so much easier! It is now a joy to work in the garden again!

This is the third garden bench I have had and the best one. It is light weight, very sturdy and solid, does not tip easily and is easy to carry. I am 80 years old, cannot lift more than 5 or 6 pounds easily and need solid arm support to help me get to my feet after kneeling. What more could I ask for except to be 20 or 30 years younger.

The Midwest Products "Garden Kneeler Bench" is excellent for use in laying floor tile or doing other on-the-floor work. The extended legs provide well-placed support for getting up and down. I would recommend, however, that the kneeling pad be made more resilient, toward reducing any compression discomfort on the knees.

4.0 out of 5 stars great garden bench!, May 27, 2009
This review is from: Midwest Gloves and Gear 53, Kneeler Bench (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this for my father who spends a lot of time in his garden but has a very bad back and often has trouble getting back up after being stooped for a while. He really liked it and often uses it "bench style" when he needs a break in between weeding and planting, etc. It's very easy to set up and break down to put it away, stores flat so it doesn't get in the way. And now I don't have to worry as much that he won't be able to stand up after long periods in his garden :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A most valuable indoor/ outdoor kneeler, May 10, 2009

This review is from: Midwest Gloves and Gear 53, Kneeler Bench (Lawn & Patio)
The Rumford Gardener kneeler bench was shipped from Target - but ordered through Amazon. This is a great kneeler for both indoor and outdoor chores... at age 83 with one knee already replaced and another one scheduled for this fall, I have discovered the very real advantage of this kneeler, it's comfortable to kneel on (I did add an extra rubber kneeling pad which is easy to wash) and the sides are rigid and supportive for getting down and getting up purposes. For a very modest price this is a great addition to both outdoors and indoors.
