Expensive but worth it!
I upgraded the Miele filter that ships with vacuum to this one. I am really glad that I did. This weekend a guest made a commit that they are usually alergic to dogs- "you must have a really clean house".

Non-Miele HEPA Filter
Follow-up after installation and running: HEPA Filter was not marked with Miele name and vacuum started to make strange whistle noise. Also noticed vacuum was getting hotter than normal - filter was preventing exhaust gases out, causing abnormal temperatures within the vacuum. Would not recommend unless Vendor has changed to Original Equipment...

With tight cash flow, I hesitated getting this filter but I am so glad that I did. If you are like me and can't handle dust getting up your nose when you vacuum, this filter is for you. I hated spending the money but I love how well it works. There is no other that compares for my Miele.

No issues, just make sure you check the Miele website to figure out which filter fits your vacuum. I definitely feel like it filters very well because my allergies don't act up as much as when I use other vacuums. Perhaps it is a combination of the Miele bags and filters.

The website information is incorrect. The filter is designed for the S4000/5000 models. I have the older S524 model and it doesn't fit.
