I have no complaints with the bags. The indicator slide on the front of the vacuum itself doesn't seem to do a real great job at telling me when the bag is full, but it's easy enough to open the front compartment and feel the bag to know if it's getting full or not.

In response to the other review on here that the vacuum isn't that great... I don't find any of the complaints valid except that it isn't great for throw rugs. It does my kitchen and entry way rugs fine since they have rubber backing to hold them in place a little, but my bathroom rugs are not easily cleaned with this. It is not difficult to carry though - you just need to have it upright to lock it in place before lifting it so the head doesn't flop down. It's got a nice handle on the back that works just fine for carrying it up and down stairs and it isn't unusually heavy. I use the hand-held Turbobrush for vacuuming the stairs and think it does a good job. As far as the cord having to be totally undone to get it off the holder - that is incorrect as well. The bottom hook is a swivel so you just turn it down and slide the whole cord off at once.

We bought this from a local shop after checking out several vacuums and it's exactly what we wanted. I'd highly recommend this vacuum - we have kids, 6 cats and a dog and it does an awesome job at keeping up with our filthy floors!

Great bags - pick everything up - no dust released back into the house. Never get the smell of dust while vacuuming.

I love these bags because there is a no mess removal and they hold so much. The price is so much more reasonable online especially with free shipping...

The bags do a great job of not allowing to much to return to the surroundings. The vac is super, with the exception of not being stair friendly, this machine beats our central vac.

With my allergies I needed to switch to a bagged vac. My Bissell Pet Hair Eraser did a good job but each time I emptied the dust canister a poof of dust came back into my face and I had to stick my hand up into the machine to free huge hunks of dog hair.

But I LOVE my Miele -- I've even given her a name: Sheila -- that helps me remember how to pronounce this German word. Sheila and I have been breezing over smooth flooring, tiles and carpets and she has been sucking up every bit of dirt and dust. The Miele replacement dustbags are extremely well made and do not let any of that dust and particulate matter back out into the air so I don't have to breath it in. Holds a lot of dirt too. A little more expensive but well worth it. The cord is extremely long too and I don't have to plug it into more than one or two outlets to get several rooms vacuumed.

I used to get these at bed, bath, beyond, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. Thankfully, Amazon does. Great vacuum also, btw.

I love Miele bags. They are super thick cloth and the automatic flap keeps the dust and dirt where it belongs, changing bags is a snap and super clean process. So glad we purchased a Miele!!!

Perfect for my Miele since they are made for it ;) I like how if gives you the motor filters too, usually those are sold separately for other manufacturers.

As with the bags that came with my vacuum, they install and seal very well as well as are easy to take out with out getting dirt/dust everywhere.

I do agree that the full bag indicator is a joke really, when mine says full, it is way past full and I have to scrape out fur/hair from the inlet. We have 3 cats and 2 heavy shedding dogs, so we go through bags often.

This was a perfect fit for what I needed and it came quickly. That was a blessing because I had run out of vacuum bags and needed to vacuum badly. They fit my new Miele upright perfectly, it fact it was the same type of bag that came with the new vacuum. Well constructed to keep dirt/allergins in.

darned heavy machine; don't think it needs to be to work effectively. Difficult to lift up to vacumn over throw rugs; it sucks them up too easily, even when adjusting the suction, but it is extremely awkward to lift up the vacumn, as the main foot of the machine flops down and does not hold a position to easily lift and then reposition on a throw rug. Additionally, the cord must be fully unwrapped to take it off the cord hooks; vacumns I have had before have a pivoting or sliding hook that 'undoes'the cord easily without my having to unwrap every cord loop.

With stairs it's too darned heavy to trudge up and down the stairs.

Poor purchase at nearly $500. ridiculous, and I will never make a purchase of this type over the internet again. Shop local and support local small businesses.
