Miele Style G/N HyClean Vacuum Cleaner Bags: 4 Bags + 1 Super Air Clean Filter + 1 PreMotor Filter

I have a Miele and love it. Best vacuum I've ever owned. When I changed from the regular G/N bags to the HyClean bags, suction went down dramatically. I thought something was wrong with the vacuum or the motor was going - it was very dramatic. What it does suck up is definitely held better in these bags, but the reduction in suction leaves so much behind that allergy symptoms increased. They solved one problem and created another. Going back to the regular bags.

I recently purchased a Miele Capricorn, and they use the style G/N bags.

I'm quite impressed with the Miele bags. I'm used to having to deal with paper vacuum bags, the kind that have a cardboard flange which has to be pushed onto a stem or hose in the bag compartment: the kind of bag that always seems to have dirt sifting out of it when it's time to install a fresh bag.

It's a pleasure to use Miele vacuum bags. They're made of a nonwoven fabric which is lined with aluminum foiled plastic, and they have a plastic flange that neatly snaps into a holder. It's impossible to install them incorrectly because of some thoughtfully-designed arrow guides. Once the bag is snapped into place and the door of the bag compartment is lowered, the vacuum hose automatically inserts into the Miele vacuum bag.

When it's time to change the bag, all I have to do is hold the bag by two little tabs at the top of the flange, and lift it up out of the holder. A plastic tab rolls down over the opening in the bag, automatically sealing the bag for disposal.

Someone put a lot of thought into the design of these bags and it shows!

Bought mine from seller "Mr.Vac & Mrs.Sew", came as advertised and on time.

$19 for a box of 4 bags and 2 filters, which average out to $4.75 per bag. I was considering the third party bags at about $2.6 per bag, but read that they are thinner and made in China instead of Germany. The law of nature is that most times, you get what you pay for. Got the Miele Capri vacuum, the bag that came installed, same as these bags, WOW, looks like an expensive pillow.

I'm still using the original bag that came with the vacuum and the bag changing gauge on the vacuum is still not telling me to change it yet. It's either the bag is soooo large, or I'm just a clean person where there's not much dirt to pick up :^) Looks like one box of 4 bags may last over a year, going by the way I use the vacuum.

Maybe I don't have a sense of smell anymore, but my father's dog like nose smelled dust the first time he used the vacuum. So I stuck my nose right up against the ventilation of he vacuum, and did noticed the dust smell, so I changed the bag for the first time, and it was pretty damn full. However, I never noticed the bag changing gauge in the vacuum move much at all.

My ordered arrived quickly and undamaged. There was a description disparity with the 5 pack Miele bag advertised which only contained 4 bags. I contacted the seller, and Mr. Witbeck responded personally and quickly with his explanation and an apology. The seller offered to ship me the 5th bag, and the very next day a new box containing 4 more bags arrived. The seller went above and beyond the call of duty, and for that this seller earned the 5* rating in spite of the mistake. I would gladly do business with Witbecks again.

If you own a Miele Vacuum cleaner then you must have these. They do keep dust from coming out as you clean and are very strong. However, you don't get five anymore, only four for the same price which is a bummer. I love my Miele Vacuum cleaner and have had it for 12 years, serviced only once. It is a work horse and worth every penny.

The bags arrived quickly and were just what I needed. I have ordered this product before and have been satisfied each time.

This is a nice package. My vacuum came with a HEPA filter, but I'm not sure I want to pay the price for replacements. I think the Super Air Clean may do the job. And it's priced right.

Quality is this products best description. These keep the dust in the bag and not blown back into the house.

Highly recommended if you have a family with allergies and need to clear your home of dust and pollen. The filtration system works better than any others that we have used.

I am thrilled with the Miele system. The bags caught most, if not all (hey I don't have a microscope) of my dust, dust mites and their and my blech. I live in Oregon, land of 24/7 365 moisture. So dust mites love it here. And I happen to live in a valley... grass grass pollen pollen. I also have a cat that loves to quite literally roll around in the dirt. After testing a Miele Aquarius on my entire carpeted apartment, it was a no brainer to get a Miele. The first night I had my loaner from a friend I thoroughly cleaned my bedroom and that night I slept better. In the morning instead of going through a dozen or more tissues I just needed one. I also did not have to blow my nose in the middle of the night. I already have an amazing non-toxic mattress that the mites can't live in so I knew the problem was carpet, dust and moisture related. I ended up with the Gemini Miele as I don't need the Automatic (extra function) of the Aquarius. I did want the backlit knob indicator which is why I went with the Gemini over the Callisto. I purchased through Witbecks and they have been amazing in service and I would definitely buy from them again.

ps People, if you have allergies... look at your laundry detergent too.... I am simply flabbergasted how many people say they have allergies and use scented detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets!!!!!! That synthetic fragrance is definitely exacerbating any allergies you may have. That includes any 'plug-ins' or the like. Those products are actually quite toxic over time, they damage your olfactory senses (nose) and pollute the air, not freshen it.
