Miss Angulo's new CD is So beautiful and sophisticated all at the same time. My favorite song on the CD is "Que Te Valla Bien"-- and even without understanding all the spanish, I can still get a sense for what the song is saying, clearly by the vibe in which she delivers the vocals. I love both her sexy commanding voice and her Sax playing!
The whole CD is a great ride and it's really amazing that she wrote, composed and arranged all of this music as well as worked with such a great line-up of musicians, including someone that worked with Ricky Martin! This CD isn't just for jazz or latin music lovers, but for anyone who enjoys latin or jazz influenced pop music like Norah Jones, or even a little bit of Gloria Estefan... this CD has it all, and a sound that is a one of a kind!

This new CD makes a quantum leap from Layla's previous album, and that's saying a lot because "Live At The Triple Door" was so excellent. First of all, she sings! And second, she has a fantastic voice! I keep changing my mind for the title of my favorite song. Of course there's "Que Te Valla Bien" - a world-class hit record by any measure. But then there's the fiery passion of "Mientras..." and the jazzy funk of "If He Came Back" and, well, there's just too many to choose from and with every listen I find something new I love about each song. There are styles here that will suit almost any taste, from original compositions in English and Spanish, to standards arranged in unique and flavorful ways, yet the musical feeling throughout is consistently soulful and fresh. Plus, she has some incredibly talented musicians backing her up every step of the way. I believe this CD will bring Layla and her music to the attention of new fans around the world.

Layla's Mientras CD is fantastic. She has a wonderful, sexy, soulful voice and her sax playing is superb. She not only sings and plays the sax, but she wrote and arranged most of the songs herself. I truly believe Layla is on her way!

This is a great album, full of amazing musicianship and great songs. One of my favorite songs is "Que Te Valla Bien". Layla's voice has so much passion and emotional expression. I love her arrangements and the sax and flute solos. I don't understand Spanish at all but this CD really spoke to me!
