About the Author
About the Author: Sammantha Diep, pool player, writer, and entrepreneur has just completed her first book. Samm eats, breathes, dreams pool. After becoming deeply involved in the pool scene, she noticed a lack of specific training and novelty items for the players. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Samm now produces these fun, niche products from her own company, Samm's Side Pocket Productions. She believes that a good pool player is always a student of the game and has studied with some of the top instructors such as Tom Ross and The Monk. Samm is also the house pro at a local pool room in Denver, Colorado where she conducts regular clinics and gives instruction. In addition to teaching, Samm spends time training for competitive tournaments that take place throughout the year. As a marketable but serious competitor, she recently secured sponsorships with a local cue maker and the pool room she works with. Samm also writes for various online pool syndications, as well as Professor Q Ball’s National Pool & Carom News. An ambitious player and professional, she continues to promote the game she loves and believes being a positive role model is as important as being a strong player.

I especially enjoyed the illustrations, this seems like a great book for anyone interested in pool and a tongue-in-cheek way of becoming a better player.

The insights would be funny enough and the cartoons only make it that much better. quick read. Everyone who likes to shoot around at their local bar and thinks they're pretty good should be given one as a gift.
