This product does not fit the XtraFlex2! I purchased this to go with:Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light (Kindle Version) Black [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] because the XtraFlex2 is listed as a compatible item in the product description. However, both the light and this adapter have male ends.

This is not for the UltraFlex 2. I had to talk to MightyBrite to find out that the model wanted is #37372B, and you can't tell on Amazon what you're getting. So get the UltraFlex 2 WITH the adapter. Too bad its black :(

Purchased this adapter because Amazon.com suggested it to go with the Might Bright Pocket Flex light - problem is - there's no place to plug it in on the Pocket Flex!! I'm sure the adapter works just fine....just not with the light I purchased.

I was looking for an AC adapter to use with my parents XtraFlex 2 book light. I noticed this one was linked to the light but it is the WRONG adapter. Please be aware this adapter is not for the new line of Mighty Bright products.

This adapter is good for:
Compatible with Classic, NaturaLamp or Full Spectrum Daylight, Incandescent Light.(Works on Adapter 110V & 120V)

Basically this is the OLD adapter for lights which use a Incandescent bulb or Florescent bulb. It is called the CLASSIC ADAPTER by mighty bright.

The Specs for it are:
OUTPUT: 5v DC 300mA MAX
INPUT: 120volts 60Hz 4.0 watts


Strangely the Xtraflex2 light (their newer model booklight) is linked to incandescent bulbs and this adapter. Both links are "wrong". If you buy this adapter for a LED based booklight such as the XtraFlex2 it will not work; and in fact could damage your book light.

The current models of Mighty Bright lights (LED models) use the following specs:
OUTPUT: 4v DC 400mA MAX
INPUT: 120volts 60Hz 2.5 watts

Make sure you check the Input/Output needed on your light's AC adapter to make sure it is compatible. If you are unsure then simply head over to Mighty Bright's website where they have a better breakdown of the lights and which adapter goes for what.

** As for this adapter; I'm sure it works just fine when paired with the proper Mighty Bright light. I mean it is an AC adapter it doesn't do all that much. However, they should really change the name of the product to "Classic" adapter like on the website. As other reviewers have pointed out, it is leading to broken lights and confusion. The image you see above is a very poor image that doesn't help you much either. In the products defense (why it gets 2 stars) there is a product description telling you what the adapter is intended for BUT it is pretty hard to notice on first glance.

So.. BEWARE!! Check your Mighty Bright light before buying! If it uses LEDs then this is not the proper adapter!

This adapter did not work with my Mighty Bright, I had to sent it back - with no problem.

I then ordered the "Mighty Bright AC Adapter for Triple L.E.D. Music Light"
$4.92 Sold by: Sun & Moon Ecolight - that worked.

I purchased this with a mighty bright booklight. Maybe I just got an adapter that is missing a part or something, but there is no way to connect this adapter to my mighty bright booklight which I use with my kindle, both have male plugs. There are no instructions either. I haven't contact the company yet, but the fact that I have to do so is a bother and a black mark on them as far as I'm concerned.

I use my Mighty Bright every night. Worth the small investment for this adapter so you don't have to use batteries.

The best choice to power your Mighty Bright Led light. This AC adapter is tiny, very lightweight and has a super long cord.

I'm so glad that this is available for the Mighty Bright light so that you can save money by not having to buy batteries.

I bought this light for my kindle and have been really satisfied. It has two light settings and clips onto my kindle just fine. I have used it quite awhile and have not had to replace the batteries. I would recommend it to everyone!
