Great resource !,

"The Mighty Eighth: War Paint and Heraldry" is a great source of information on the aircraft of the USAAF. I read anything I can get my hands on about this subject, most recently, "The Triumph and the Glory" a great novel about a Fortress pilot, "Raiding the Reich", and Harry Crosby's excellent memoir of the Bloody Hundredth. Freeman's book is a great companion to any history or novel about the Eighth, the pictures make the past come to life again.
