Favorite Mike Morgan and the Crawl CD,

Song for song this is probably my favorite Mike Morgan and Lee McBee CD with "Kiss Me Baby" and "Frankies Blues" being two of my favorite Crawl songs. If you like Texas Shuffle Blues you should give this one a listen.

This CD has all kinds of blues styles - piano, harmonica, strong guitar, horns and organ. All the songs are strong, but I especially like "Frankie's Blues", "Kiss Me Baby" and "Blues for Al and Peggy" - do you think it should be called "Bundy Blues" instead?

I bought this CD years ago and lost it. Glad to find a copy and purchase again. Mike is a great, tasty blues guitar player!! I have been a producer of blues festivals and concerts and was close to getting the Crawl signed to headline a show but it didn't work out. I highly reccomend this CD if you like blues music. Dave

A great CD! Movin' It On is an energetic anthem. Swingin' Mama is a no-nonsense 12-bar instrumental. After hearing it on the radio, I originally bought this album for the long guitar piece Blues for Al and Peggy (6:50), but that is not my favorite song. Frankie's Blues is infinitely bluesy with great lyrics: "I got two little children, but they don't favor me. Now one look like a Chinaman, the other like a Japanese." Now if that doesn't give you the blues, what does?
