Editorial Reviews

Building an Airplane: A jet airplane is one of the fastest machines on the planet. But have you ever seen one being built? It all goes together like a jigsaw puzzle! Once it's assembled, a test pilot takes the jet out for a flight. Will it pass the test? Soon the jet is ready to get to work flying people all over the world.
Ride the Mountain Rails! Work Train is busy keeping the tracks in good shape. It takes the power of three engines to get up the sharp inclines and over the pass. These machines are a special hardy breed, made for the mountain rails.
Reach for the Sky!: Stretch is a crane and his job is to lift things onto the top of very high buildings. He's attached to a truck so he can drive to jobs, but he's so tall that he has to be taken apart in order to fit through the streets. It takes a friend, Yellow Crane, to help Stretch assemble again!

It is really boring.

We love the videos because they teach real stuff and not just show silly cartoon characters.

My son is three and a half and he enjoyed every minute of this video. I love how the creator gives each character a name. The steps and processes are gone over slowly and acurate terminology is used to classify items therefore increasing children's vocabulary.

My three year old (going on 4) has not let this disc leave the daily rotation yet. I could not figure out who "Jet Girl" was that he was talking about over and over. He kept asking if that was Jet Girl every time a plane flew over. He knew all about her because he saw her get created. A must have for any child who loves the Mighty Machines DVDs.

My husband and I have purchased almost all of the "Mighty Machines" dvds. And this is just another one to add to the list of his favorites. We love the videos because they teach real stuff and not just show silly cartoon characters. And the dvds have been keeping his attention since he was 2 years old! They are worth every penny!

My 2 1/2 year old son loves Mighty Machines and could watch most of them all day, but this one did not hold his attention at all. It is really boring. And like other's have said there is not much on planes as I thought there would be. The beginning shows putting a plane together, the middle is on trains but not very interesting as it mostly just shows them moving and I couldn't tell you what the end is as we never made it that far. I would recommend skipping this one and going with a different Mighty Machines dvd.

My niece and nephew love this DVD series. It's real construction site footage (or whatever the DVD topic is) with voiceover giving the equipment personalities. ABSOLUTELY GREAT!

My 2 year old grandson really loved these movies. He wanted to watch them every day. It was good that the movie was broken down into shorter segments for younger attention spans.
