The Album That Made Me Love Sludge, October 19, 2005
This review is from: Mighty Nimbus (Audio CD)
I bought this album because I somehow came to the conclusion that the best metal is slow metal. Also, my cat's name is nimbus, so that was an incentive. What can I say, it rocks my socks.
The music is very heavy, but unlike most extreme metal bands, filled with catchy, blues based hooks. The singer has a very attractive baritone voice of the kind not heard often enough, and the rest of the band is tight as well.
The first two tracks are the best, with their instantly memorable choruses, but the rest of the album really grows on you after a couple of listens.
I have been searching for other good sludge bands, but have yet to find one as enjoyable as The Mighty Nimbus. If you like blues and/or metal, give it a try.

Drunken Blues Metal, December 12, 2008
This band is great, the only reason I give it 4 stars is for the few tracks that don't have Dan Soren (Dan Kerzwick from Sixty Watt Shaman) on vox. That dude is phenomenal for this style of music, great singer. If you like this check out Sixty Watt Shaman, slightly less heavy and maybe even more bluesy.
