I took MigreLief twice per day for over 4 months. I wanted to give it a fair try. I ordered a 3-month supply directly from the MigreLief site and ordered another supply from Amazon. (I had to stock up before going back to where I live overseas, so I put in a second order before finishing the first.) But since my headaches are as bad (or maybe even worse) than they were...

With MigreLief, I have been so happy to find something that helps! It reduced the frequency and intensity of my migraines, and mostly got rid of a persistent daily headache that I hadn't realized was there. Unfortunately, pain had become the new normal for me. I suspect that I had become mineral depleted. A funny thing is that in the last few years, I always had really cracked, peely lips. After I was on MigreLief for a few weeks, they stopped peeling. Surprised, I did some research, and read somewhere that riboflavin is helpful for that problem. So I suspect I was riboflavin deficient. Whatever the case, it is nice to have migraine relief, and healthier lips.

Not being someone who rests on her laurels, I also read book reviews on Amazon for coping with headaches. I wanted to understand the underlying cause so that I was not just taking a supplement to treat a symptom, so to speak. So in addition to taking MigreLief, I highly recommend the book "Heal your Headache" by Dr. Buchholz. What he recommends is not easy, and there is a lot of pain at the beginning, but it's worth it. Apparently I have food-related triggers. Now I am to the point of only having one tiny migraine every 9 or 10 days, instead of medium ones twice a week with daily persistent headache. It feels heavenly, and I hope all other migraineurs can experience the relief and liberation I have had the past few months--even if it means giving up things like caffeine and chocolate. Best wishes to you all!

**Update**
I have done a bit of reading about Riboflavin deficiency (which I originally, erroneously suspected was a magnesium deficiency), and it is important to know that high doses of Riboflavin can cause light sensitivity. If you take MigreLief, be very conscious of protecting your eyes and skin from light. You can damage your eyes. Would have been nice to see this warning on the MigreLief label! I will post the link to this info in the comments section. Best wishes!

I took MigreLief twice per day for over 4 months. I wanted to give it a fair try. I ordered a 3-month supply directly from the MigreLief site and ordered another supply from Amazon. (I had to stock up before going back to where I live overseas, so I put in a second order before finishing the first.) But since my headaches are as bad (or maybe even worse) than they were before I started taking this, I have to conclude that it did not work for me at all. I am currently tapering off. Although no one suggested that I do this, I feel that it would be safer to taper off gradually rather than abruptly stop the supplement. The daily dose of 2 caplets of MigreLief contains 400mg of riboflavin, which is 23,520% of the Daily Value. Taking a megadose of a nutrient makes me nervous, although not enough to stop me if it had actually worked for my migraines. I read the link to the article on riboflavin and light sensitivity (University of Maryland Medical Center) provided by another reviewer (thank you, Jobert), which says, in part:
"Riboflavin is generally considered safe, even at high doses. However, because doses above 10 mg per day may cause eye damage from the sun, people who take high doses should wear sunglasses that protect their eyes from ultraviolet light." The article also mentions that taking one of the B vitamins individually for a long time can result in an imbalance of the other B vitamins.

I'm not sorry I tried MigreLief. I feel that it was worth the try even though it didn't work for me. The supplement seems to work for some people, so I'm not trying to discourage anyone from trying it. They say on their website that they will give a refund to anyone who tries the product for 3 months without success. So I called their toll-free customer service number and received a friendly and prompt refund for the purchase of 3 bottles, minus the $7.99 postage.

5.0 out of 5 stars No more headaches!, September 12, 2009

My doctor suggested that I take Migrelief and Alpha Lipoic acid along with controlling my diet (no wine, citrus, bananas, etc) and severely reducing my intake of OTC painkillers. I've now gone from having headaches 20+ days per month to only a couple at most. I'm pretty sure that the Migrelief has quite a bit to do with it and it's cheaper than all the money I would spend on OTC and prescription painkillers that only made things worse. Note that you have to use it for a few months before you can tell if it's doing anything or not. It will not make everything perfect immediately. Nothing will do that short of a lobotomy.

I started taking this in February during a really bad multi-day migraine episode, after switching doctors and being told by the new doctor to get this. Now, at the beginning of June, I have 28 Maxalt in my bathroom drawer. For those of you aren't familiar, Maxalt is a heavy duty Migraine drug, and insurance will generally only authorize nine pills a month, all of which I would always need. I've lived in fear for years of running out of Maxalt. I would probably average five really bad headaches a month, sometimes more, and numerous medium headaches, so the nine pills were always used, and you try to fight the rest with whatever else you could get your hands on. I also never realized I almost always wake up with a headache, you get so used to it, and that I would usually start the day with an OTC remedy to keep it at bay. I'm not sure exactly how long the Migreleif took to kick in, but I can't believe how pain free I am right now (and that I have 28 Migraine pills in my possession - formerly a three month supply, and I've only been taking the Migreleif for a four months). I wake up every morning and I'm actually "looking" for my headache - it is such a different way to start the day to not have it there - had to get used to not heading for the nearest pill bottle as soon as I woke up. I'm totally impressed, and I really hope this isn't some kind of fluke, but I am so happy right now.

I found the full dose was causing me some digestive problems that were very annoying, and my doctor told me to cut the dose in half, and just take one pill a day. Been doing that for over a month now, and still seem to be getting these results.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works for me!, June 4, 2010

After years of having debilitating 'sinus' headaches, a couple of years ago, after reading up on headaches, I finally realized that they were migraines. I would average two or three bad ones a month, along with 3 or 4 milder ones that I would catch early enough to take the edge off. Normally mine are caused by changes in the weather, most likely allergies, and some foods. The bad ones would make functioning difficult if not impossible; a dark room, an ice pack, Tylenol Migraine formula, and time were all that worked. I've been using Migrelief for about three momths now, and in the last two months or so I've probably had a total of four headaches. All four were the mild kind that the Tylenol Migraine could handle, and I could work through them with no problems. NO laying around wasting a day off because of headaches anymore, no going to work and being miserable because of a migraine anymore. This stuff works, for me anyhow, and from these reviews for a lot of people. Since this is spring, this was usually the one of the two worst times of the year (fall to winter the other, with all the changing weather) and it is sure nice to not have to worry everytime a front blows in whether or not you'll be able to function.

I am 39y old and started getting migraines when I was 12y. Have been on many prescription meds, tried acupuncture and chiropracting--nothing worked. I am talking about having a migraine at least 20 days/month. I was ready to give up but a year ago, I tried Migrelief and now I only have 1-2days/month with headaches that I can get rid of with ibuprofen and once in a while I will need to take immitrex. It was truly a lifesaver for me. I highly recommend it!! Migraines no longer control my life.

This review is from: Migrelief Original Formula, Triple Therapy with Puracol, 60-Caplets (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
I have been plagued with migraines for more than 25 years. Over the last few years I had developed exertional migraines - every time I exercised I got a migraine. In desparation I read everything that I could find about migraines. After reading What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Migraines I purchased my first order of Migrelief. From the time that I started taking it I have not had another migraine. I'm not sure if my migraines are gone for good but I know that I can exercise now and not be worried that I will get an aura and a headache within an hour.

I have spoken with a pharmacist trained in integrative medicine. She believes the the use of magnesium can make a big difference in migraines. The scientific evidence is out there that substantiates that the ingredients in Migrelief statiscally reduces the number of migraines.

I say "go ahead and try it" - you might find some relief. I was desperate and have been incredibly pleased with the results.

4.0 out of 5 stars Miracle Cure? No. Worth Every Penny? Yes., July 11, 2011
This review is from: Migrelief Original Formula, Triple Therapy with Puracol, 60-Caplets (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
Do yourself a favor and try Migrelief. I have suffered from horrible, debilitating chronic migraine for 23 years. I've tried just about everything in terms of both preventatives and rescue medications (apart from Botox therapy). This includes beta blockers, anti-depressants, anti-seizure meds, imitrex (imigran), zomig, maxalt, OTC pain relievers, tylenol with codeine (tylenol 3), vicoden, vicoprofen, etc. etc. Regardless of what I've tried, my quality of life has often been pretty poor due to failure of these meds to adequately prevent and control my headaches. About 5 months ago, I started Migrelief. 1 pill twice daily. I still get migraine headaches, so I cannot say Migrelief is a miracle cure. But what I can say is that I would not be without it now. As one other reviewer experienced, both the frequency and intensity of my headaches has diminished dramatically. After a 1 month lead-in period during which I still had quite a few really bad headaches, I am happy to say I have had only 1 "whopper" in the last 4 months. For me, a whopper is where I am completely debilitated due to pain, meds don't work, and I have vomiting. These used to occur regularly for me, at least 2 times per month, and they would last 2-3 days. This is in addition to at least 10 other headache days per month, half of those also really bad migraine just without the vomiting and slightly less debilitating, and maybe they would go away with meds and maybe they wouldn't. The other half generally were somewhere between annoying and partially debilitating, and usually cured with meds (at least with repeated doses). Now I still have 5-10 headache days per month, but the headaches are far more minor. More along the annoying side of things (but still obviously not a normal headache). And if I take rescue meds right away, they usually go away and don't come back (by the way, I recommend taking your meds right away, or these minor ones if ignored can get out of control). Sometimes the headaches are worse, or harder to cure, but they are so much better than before. Even my bad ones now are not anything close to what I used to experience. Except for the occasional whopper. Bottom line: Migrelief is not a miracle cure (at least not for me). You probably are still going to get migraine headaches and need your rescue meds. But it just may improve your quality of life by dramatically reducing your headache severity and frequency. It definitely is worth a try. The company (and the doctor who unofficially promotes the product) recommends at least a 3 month trial. I saw results sooner than that, but maybe not everyone does.

5.0 out of 5 stars migraine relief, May 27, 2010

This review is from: Migrelief Original Formula, Triple Therapy with Puracol, 60-Caplets (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
I have had chronic migraines for many years and have been faithfully taking Migrelief for about the last five. Although it doesn't completely eliminate the headaches, they are less frequent and less severe. There have been a couple times I've run out of the Migrelief and within a week or so the headaches ramped up again, so I know it isn't just a coincidence. If you have migraines it's definitely worth trying - give it a good 30 days before deciding if it's working for you or not.

Product seems to help reduce severity and number of migraines. Been using for over 5 years. Needed to stop using asprin based pain relievers too, before I got real results. don't know which action had the most effect.
