He achieved 5 gold records and 2 platinum, a number that most artists do not achieve.

“Amor Y Rock and Roll was a much awaited success that instantly became a radio favorite with singles like: “No Se Murio El Amor”, “El Rey de la Noche” and “Poco a Poco”, which became golden and platinum records respectively.

Appearances , concerts and tours throughout Mexico and Central America never stopped , new records and a successful music career lead to “Uno Entre Mil”, which was the flagship single for his third record , which also featured “Soldado Del Amor” , Tan Solo”, “El Breve Espacio” and No Quiero Perderte”

The album “Un Hombre Discreto” was a phenomenon at the time; most of its singles were released and played in radio. ““Me acordaré de ti”, “Baño de mujeres” and “Para amarnos más”, were among many hits that lead to his new international album launched in Italy “Nuda Libertad”

“Que nada nos separe” became the most sold album in Mijares history. From this record songs like “No hace falta”, “Persona a persona”, “Que nada nos separe”, “Buena fortuna” and “Bonita” became special among fans.

María Félix was who decided Mijares should sing for her at Veronica Castro’s high rated TV show.
