These are beautiful, heavy glasses of a good size. I got them to make caiperinias in - I needed something bigger than 8 oz. - but smaller than 14 oz.! They have nice, heavy bottoms that make muddling the limes easier.

They weren't cheap - but you get what you pay for!

I would buy them again!

This glass is great. It absolutely oozes class. You will know it the first time you drop a couple ice cubes in it and hear the ring. I have tried drinking Scotch out of my cheap again glasses and it sure seems to taste different. The experience is certainly heightened by having a quality glass to drink from. When you're paying $50+ for a bottle of Scotch, what's $20 for a glass to drink it from?

I needed handsome glasses yet with a base sturdy enough to withstand the mashing of the muddling stick when making Caipirinhas - Mikasa's Arctic Lights fit the bill perfectly. JLM

They look beautiful and at the same time they are nice and sturdy. Just the right glass for a good scotch. Worth the money.

Over the years we have bought several other versions of the Mikasa double old-fashioned glassware, all of which have been very attractive. Other people must think so because we have seen them in use in some movies. The only problem is that they have tended to be very fragile and will break just from the stresses of immersing them in hot dishwater. So, every three or four years, we've had to launch a search to see what is currently available. This Arctic Lights design is relatively attractive - not the most attractive of what we have had, but the most attractive of what is now available. Also, these glasses seem heavier and thicker than the last bunch, which were extremely thin near the top and occasionally one would break for no apparent reason. So I am hopeful that they will proved to be more rugged.

My friend has used and loved these glasses, but broke the last one. Looked at many stores trying to find them, even the Mikasa site. Delivery was prompt and well packed. Have a happy friend with a new set of glasses she loves.

In 2 months price dropped like $10. but i am very satisfied with my purchase. These glasses are very heavy. i just love them. If you are looking for classy whiskey glass, look no farther. pore some Johnny Walker Blue label and light a cigar you will feel like you are in haven.
