Cool but "cheap" for Mikasa,

I have Mikasa wine glasses (very heavy, nicely made) and purchased these as a gift for a friend who likes stemless. When they arrived I checked them out before I wrapped them. While they look cool, and are great for not getting your glasses mixed up if you have guests, they are light & cheap feeling. Not at all what I expected from Mikasa or for the money, maybe from Walmart at a cheaper price.

Complete junk compared to Cheers glasses with stems,

Both the balloon goblet and white wine style of these glasses with stems are great, high quality items. The detail is deep and consistent. Guests frequently comment favorably on them since they are so distinctive
We had a visitor who broke several of the stemmed glasses so I ordered replacements and also a box of the stemless balloon goblets and two of the stemless white wine goblets, which looked more modern and less breakable for the next time our clumsy guest visits. The stemless versions look and feel cheap. The weight of each of the four glasses in the set varies considerably. The detail is not deep and is inconsistent like they had waited too long to replace the grinding tools. The detail is barely ground into the glass and there are actual gaps in the one with the stripes. In contrast the detail on the stemmed version is deep and looks great. One glass looked like they overheated the rim during manufacturing and it slumped inward. There are bubbles in the glass and one had a scrape mark on the side. These things would not be acceptable as seconds and I had paid full price (well, Amazon full price). I checked the bottom of the glasses and that told the story. The good quality stemmed glasses are made in Slovakia. The stemless versions are from China and look like Mikasa took the low bidder and never did quality checks. I'm really disappointed because I like the stem version so much. All together I have purchased seven boxes and all had consistently high quality. If you go for the stemmed version watch for the 4 for 3 promotion. That will give you twelve glasses plus four free spares for when your aunt comes to visit.

I know some of the other reviews stated they felt the quality was lacking on these. I think they are beautiful and well. The weight of them is actually heavier that the stemless glasses that I bought at a "party" for another well known manufacturer of glassware & tableware. The patterns are very cute. The price here was the lowest I found anywhere online. They retail at $59.00 I think.

They look beautiful,

The glasses look as great as the picture shows. I like their round shape, and the different patterns are a bonus.
The reason I gave four stars instead of five, is due to their weight. Normally I prefer a heavier base to keep the glass stable. Other than that, they are good quality.

These look beautiful, very understated, your guests won't see the designs until the wine goes into the glass but that's the great effect of these glasses, just pure beautiful clean design and the glass is just heavy enough not too thin or thick and they look great.

Cute and Worth the Money,

If i could give this product four and a half stars I would. My only problem was minimal.
I bought these glasses for my mom for Christmas to go with a new dining room table and buffet set she recently purchased. They fit the elegant modern style of the new dining room and they are a quality product. I don't know where these things had been stored but they were very dusty, box and all, when I received them. I had to wash them before returning them to the box and wrapping, just for them to be presentable, but that wasn't much of a problem (hence my wish that i could only knock off a half star). They are well packaged for shipping and there is not a chipped or broken glass in the bunch. I have read several reviews that complain that these glasses are not heavy enough to be a quality product. I'm glad I took my chances. One review even compared them to the stemmed glasses. First, most of the weight of a wine glass comes from the stem and the base. With no stem to speak of and not much of a base, of course these weigh much less than a stemmed glass. Second, these have a rounded-balloon-type shape rather than a more fluted shape like many stemless wine glasses. This spreads the little weight that is left over a wider area and makes them feel even lighter. These are probably not going to be your every day drinking glasses. They are interesting to look at and touch, we use them as wine glasses for special occasions. We've finished out the holiday season and we haven't broken one yet. For the price of about $25, they are definitely worth it.

Prevent spills on carpet,

I purchased these because we have carpet and I want to prevent spills. These are nice and big like the red wine glasses I already have. I'm not use to stemless ware (tumblers) yet so it almost looks like a candle holder but I'm sure with time they will grow on me. I also chose these because they are upper rack dishwasher safe.

Cute Glasses, Maybe Oversized,

I like these glasses, and I didn't find them as thin/weak as other reviewers have. They are very cute, but I've noticed they're a little too big to hold comfortably. When I'm drinking out of them I always feel a little worried they might slip out of my hand/I don't have a good grip on them.

Cheap. Not Mikasa Quality,

These glasses seem to have been made by some other company; they look and feel cheap. I received them as a gift so will not be returning them. What a dissappointment. The etching looks so cheap I will not be using them for guests.
