4.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy - But Consider Adding 8 Iced Tea Spoons
The set is very nice, have had for over a year now and they still are on good condition, as expected.

I like them enough that today, I'm purchasing another 42-piece set to increase my settings from 8 to 16 to keep one matching set as well as 1 hostess set and 8 iced tea spoons.

The downside of this set compared to some other lower end items is there...

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty sweet
The style is really nice. I didn't think i'd like all the frost that's on it, but it's nice to keep the fingerprints off. The Mikasa symbol is printed and not stamped or etched so it rubs off. I've lost one of the logos a spoon already, i've owned the set for about a month. I also bent on of the big spoons on some ice cream. I can't image an oneida being any...

The set is very nice, have had for over a year now and they still are on good condition, as expected.

I like them enough that today, I'm purchasing another 42-piece set to increase my settings from 8 to 16 to keep one matching set as well as 1 hostess set and 8 iced tea spoons.

The downside of this set compared to some other lower end items is there are no "special" items are included in the box aside from the large fork & spoon. If you want to stir drinks or other stuff, the short dessert spoons are not long enough to accomplish this. I recommend buying 2 sets of 4 iced tea spoons to accompany this set.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is my second set and it too is awesome!, October 27, 2005
This review is from: Mikasa Classico Satin 42-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8 (Kitchen)
Mikasa flatware is so sturdy and beautiful. My first set was 10 years old and never lost it's shine. I only replaced it because i had lost a lot of the pieces.

this set is beautiful and the wooden tray is perfect and will fit any kitchen drawer. This is such a good price, don't believe it? go to the mikasa store and price it.

I will always and forever ONLY use mikasa flatware

This set looks stylish (contemporary) without being too frilly. Seems to be of good quality construction and no flaws were found out of the box.

I purchased Mikasa Classico Satin 42-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8 for my mother to replace her old set. She loved the style and look of this set. The quality is not hard to notice just by holding in your hand. I am impressed with this product and my mother thinks the world of the set.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for daily use., July 29, 2010

This is our daily use flatware. I've got two sets of these, one set is about 10 years old now. I've never had any problems with bending or spotting (usually washed in dishwasher but I do use jet dry to prevent spotting). I also have the hostess set and tea spoons. All have served me well. They look nice enough that I don't usually won't bother getting out the silver.

Actually, the only problem I've had is that my family keeps losing or accidentally throwing away the flatware. ;)

Heavy set, good for the price, minor problems. Oh, some of the pieces are scratched from washing as well, they don't keep the luster.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice flatware, February 23, 2007

I really like the style of this flatware. I would have given it 5 stars, but it tends to show spots easier than on other flatware I have had. I use it for everyday.
