I bought the 45 piece set as a birthday gift from me to me, and absolutely loved it! I was inspired to then add the covered butter dish, coffee mugs, fruit dishes and coffee server. Everything arrived very quickly and in good shape--except the coffee server. The handle was broken. I immediately informed Amazon and a new coffee server was sent out the next day. This set is so beautiful, I feel like cooking just so I can set the table and eat from this elegant set of china!

I have never had any problems with receiving this set of china. I consider this pattern to be quite elegant. Last year, I started with the setting for eight and have since ordered the entire collection from either Amazon or Mikasa. (They didn't have the mugs when I was building my collection and the cups are quite enough.) Platinum stemware goes perfectly with this collection. I searched until I selected Lenox Debut Platinum stemware. My sterling flatware is Oneida Damusk Rose which is a set purchased in the 1940's. All this sets an impressive table. I am 100% satisfied with the Mikasa Platinum Crown china and highly recommend it.

I have not received the item just yet so I can not comment on the item itself, but just as a warning to all who thinks this is a great deal. I ordered this set in the beginning of November of 2004 and it is now mid-February 2005 and Amazon has been delaying this for the third time now. They say it will be the end of April before I will receive it. I should cancel, but I'm in no hurry. Like I said, just a warning if you are thinking about this as a gift or any other occation where you need it soon, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I received my order and the set is gorgeous, perfect for any occassion! Definately worth the wait!

Don't be surprised if you order this item and it doesn't come for a year! I ordered this item in April and it is now July and I have yet to see it. The delivery date keeps getting pushed back month after month. . .

Gorgeous looking set of dishware, all packed securely and arrived in perfect shape. Looks even better then the pictures show. Shipping issues seem to have been cleared up, set arrived in 2 days with standard free shipping. Now I just need to figure out where to put everything.

I read other reviews and was discouraged...but ordered anyway. I must have been lucky! It was only 10 days and I had my china...and it's beautiful. It was the same I saw at Kaufmans for $68 per 5 piece set on sale for $42 per setting. I am thrilled.

I ordered this about a year ago and no problems with delivery, received it after about 3 weeks, great price and quality, no complaints at all!

We got this set from our wedding and we love it. We used it during our formal dinners. One good thing it is safe to run it in the dishwasher (we did this past Thanksgiving and Christmas).

These dishes are beautiful. They look stunning on my table. None were broken when I received it, and i use them every week and they still look brand new!

I received my China in a timely manner and was pleasantly suprised when I opened my box. It was well packaged and looks very Elegant.
