Right size and weight, won't hold air,

As advertised, this ball is much like the one my friends and I played with in grade school. Great for four square and dodge ball. However, this ball won't hold air. We've had it less than a week and now have to pump it up after less than an hour of playing.

OK But Not Very Round,

I got this ball to play handball with my 7 year old son. I probably should have gotten a slightly larger size -- 7" OR 8-1/2" -- but this works fine. My only complaint is that it isn't very round. It is no worse than other playground balls I've purchased at other retail stores, but I was hoping for more. It bounces straighter than I would have guessed given it's appearance... I don't know why it's hard to find a playground ball that is actually round.

I was able to purchase this as a pair of green and red from Top 10 sports for only $9.95.
They are perfectly round and very durable. While they are not "super" bouncy they bounce well enough will probably last for years. The surface has an easy grip so anybody can play with these. I played catch with my four year old grand-daughter for about 15 minutes and she was able to learn to catch it quickly and had began to throw it properly and easily. These kids need to be able to have confidence in themselves and activities like these help them acquire that confidence. I took one of them to work and one of my associates' sons, who is almost two, was able to learn to throw it properly within a couple of minutes. He is better with using his legs so I was able to get him to kick it at a goal. Within a half hour he was getting the ball into the goal every time. And yes he was able to stand up while he kicked and not fall down. The price was very competitive and they are durable enough for all kinds of games. |
