Crafted in the simple, understated Stephanie design, these water goblets add elegance to a formal or holiday dining table without drawing the eye away from the table’s other decorative elements. The two crystal water goblets in this set are machine-blown, a process that exactly mimics the steps a skilled craftsman undertakes when blowing glass by hand. Each goblet stands 7-1/2 inches tall, has a 3-inch-wide rims, and a bowl with very slight vertical striations that have a refracting effect on light. Although the bowl of the glass doesn’t appear to be very large, it can hold up to 13 ounces of water. Mikasa stemware should be hand washed and stored with the bowls upright to keep the rims from chipping. --Cristina Vaamonde

I use the Stephanie Goblets in place of their wine glasses. I like the slightly bowled shape better and think it's better for smelling the wine and letting it breathe. These are particularly lovely filled with liquid. The light catches on the slight almost fluting and the stems are long, yet the base is very stable. I was looking for something simple and classic. Not overly pricey, yet they look high quality and expensive. Before you buy; however, I would DEFINITELY recommend that you check into (..)and compare prices. The Bon and Macy's often have amazing deals on Mikasa and I've bought my goblets very cheaply through them. I pooh-pooh on the Reidel glasses and far prefer the beautiful shape of these--AND the taste of the wine in them.
