I was on the look out for black bowls, and thought this may fit. The bowl had three defects on the bottom where it literally looked like someone took a black marker and filled in the bad spots. Definitely not Mikasa quality, and immediately returned.

Actual bowl does not look like photo. It's dull not shiny and you can't really see the swirls. A lot cheaper looking than photo. Also very small. Not bad but blah

Marker on bowl,

Bowl has small areas on the bottom where the glaze did not cover that were apparently fixed by coloring the spots with permanent marker. Shoddy work. Looks bad.
