This review is from: Mike & Psmith - From the Manor Wodehouse Collection, a selection from the early works of P. G. Wodehouse (The Manor Wodehouse Collection) (Paperback)
I enjoy all the Mike and Psmith books Wodehouse wrote: Mike (carved into Mike at Wrykyn, and Mike and Psmith); Psmith in the City; Psmith, Journalist; and Leave it to Psmith. The simplicity of the school stories of Wodehouse is the charm, don't you know. One feels one's hair stand on the end of one's neck when the prefect comes down the hall, and is excited for the boy who didn't fit but came good representing the school. Give Wodehouse's school stories a go; they are over 100 years old and still better than any school stories written around that time; he showed his skill for persiflage early . . .
