I just finished Mike Stellar: Nerves of Steel - such a fun book! I had to read it all in one day because it was that kind of page-turner where you just have to find out what happens next. And Mike is such a lovable, funny, clever character. I'm looking forward to my daughter being old enough to have it read to her, but in the meantime, this grown-up had a blast reading it!

I bought this book for my sons, even though they can't yet read it by themselves. I read it out loud to them, one or two chapters every night, and we all enjoy the book very much. It's funny, suspenseful, creative, and entertaining. Get a copy! It's a great read.

This was such a fun book to read. I bought two more copies to send to my niece and nephew. There's not a doubt in my mind they will enjoy it as much as I did. Mike Stellar: Nerves of Steel is the gift we will be giving for all our birthday parties this year. Wonderfully fun book to read. I didn't want to put it down!

I read this before handing it over to my kids, 10 and 8. It's great fun, with realistic characters and voice. The author has wonderfully captured a futuristic world of viserators (TVs) and handhelds, and tells an engaging, exciting story of sabotage and adventure. Nothing in here I'd be concerned about letting my kids read -- just good fun.

My 9 year old and I read this book together and we both loved it! In his words: "This...book...is...AMAZING!" It started off a little slow but quickly picked up pace. As a grown-up I would have appreciated a little more flushing out of the plot but I think that might have been superfluous for the intended age group. Overall it was an excellent book. An intriguing mystery with colorful characters, well executed. Just darn good writing. And lots of fun to read out loud! We're looking forward to more from K.A. Holt!

I am a 9 year old boy, i wish was 10. I think this book rocks because, it's funny, exciting, and it makes you wonder. My favorite characters are Mike and Mr.Shugabert. I think YOU should read this.

My nine year old son loved this book and is ready for the sequel to come out. I, too, read and enjoyed it immensely. It's a great book to pass around the family.

I loved this book! Very much in the style of Harry Potter in the plot twists and turns. Mike is perfect for the young person who is finding his way (through life and space!) in that he realizes he needs to start really thinking how to solve his problems. How he does this is so fun and adventurous! Wonderful and entertaining!

I heard about this book from a friend and picked it up two days ago as a gift for my nephew. I peeked into and decided I'd read it before I handed it over. I'm an adult woman and I know that the book is labeled as fiction for young adult or tweens, but I loved it! It was fun and I just couldn't put it down. An easy summer read that made me smile. I'm sad that it's over.
I can't wait to hear what my nephew thinks of it. It's like the Harry Potter books where it's a good read for all ages so I'm pretty sure he'll enjoy it as well.
Mike Stellar is a great hero and I fell in love with little Larc. I love science fiction of any kind as well as fantasy. I'm already kind of wishing there was a series about these two.
