This review is from: Mikoyan MiG-25 Foxbat: Guardian of the Soviet Borders - Red Star Vol. 34 (Paperback)
If you're a Foxbat fan, this is it. Not all of the photography is that good, but the line drawings are excellent and overall this makes a great reference.

This review is from: Mikoyan MiG-25 Foxbat: Guardian of the Soviet Borders - Red Star Vol. 34 (Paperback)
This book looks at the MiG-25 Foxbat, a "heavy interceptor" flown by the USSR's PVO, or Air Defense Forces, during the Cold War. This was a fast aircraft capable of speeds over Mach 3 and was initially produced because of the belief that the United States would be fielding the B-70 Valkyrie bomber in the 1970s (the program was actually cut). However, the MiG-25 served as an excellent reconnaisance platform as well and it is in this capacity that my ADA unit observed one during the First Gulf War.
This book has a wealth of information, many excellent photographs and is supplemented by artwork which details several of the color schemes that the Foxbat sported. Practically anything you would want to know about MiG-25s is in this book! |
