More About the Author

Charles (Chuck) Coppes grew up in northern Indiana in an upper-middle class family and moved to Phoenix, Arizona as a teenager in 1969. Following a tour on the DMZ in South Korea he received an honorable discharge from the US Army in 1974. In the late 1970s he began to explore an important question - what is money? In other words, what is this "thing" that we are all striving for? This search inexorably led to a life-changing discovery that historically money has always been a tangible "store of value" and this is not what we have today. This knowledge has led to a career in financial services and helping clients to understand monetary history, macroeconomics, geopolitics and current affairs from a distinctly Christian worldview.

Today he is the founder and president of IDP Consulting Group, LLC, which is an independent precious metals brokerage firm offering a wide range of services for a discriminating client base. With a business and management background in sales/marketing since 1975, Chuck has assisted clients with portfolio diversification in precious metals and numismatic certified rare coins since 1992. In addition, he has been a licensed securities broker and has worked with three national firms providing overall financial planning advice for conservative investors seeking capital preservation and moderate portfolio growth. As a published author and lecturer, he has been a featured guest on local and national radio talk programs with topics ranging from politics, economics and religion.

His first book was entitled Millennium Time Bomb published in 1998 and received five-star reviews on Amazon. He has also authored 35 research papers on the graduate level, and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Christian Apologetics and Comparative Religions. Receiving full scholarship awards at his alma mater located in Phoenix, Arizona, he also served as Senior Class President from 1989-1990. He is listed as a permanent member of the National Dean's List and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities 1989-1990. He also qualified as a contestant for the 8th Annual Milton Friedman National Economic Essay Contest sponsored by the Americanism Educational League in association with the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.

He is the former editor of the international newsletter Pressing Toward the Mark (1995-1997) which researched bio-chip applications and positive ID technologies in the computer industry, and is a strong advocate of personal and corporate asset protection and privacy. An avid student of history, economics and theology, his articles have appeared in national newsletters and various publications.

His most recent book, America's Financial Reckoning Day, was released in early 2007 and is the culmination of two years of intense research and writing on a vitally important subject that will affect each and every American in the very near future. Coppes states the y2k problem succinctly and in an objective, businesslike fashion. He outlines the principal causes and potential "explosion" of the Millennial Time Bomb by explaining well-researched premises that factor the impending event. Included in his work is a fantastic work of theology ("There is Hope") in which he explains the relationship of Old and New Testament prophecy to these events. It's a joy to read this dynamic jigsaw puzzle of research and organization. The chapter on preparedness aptly rounds out his message with a call to self-preparedness that anyone in their right mind will heed! You can't go wrong with this book. It will stun you, compel you, and eventually aims to motivate you to do what is right to leave you at peace with your eternal destiny...

Mr coppes hits head on the many negative eventualities of Y2k and ties in what this means in terms of Biblical Revelation. His expertise in both Y2k and Biblical prohecy give a chilling view of what this really could mean. His challenging book may be a window into this disater and into the heart of God. you wont be able to put it down

An uncommon perspective is offered as the story behind the story unfolds in this information packed book by Charles Coppes. Written from a Biblical perspective Charles Coppes offers practical advice and hope in the face of a serious global situation. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in reading all the facts regarding preparation for Y2K and other events which will shortly take place. Paul Moffitt
