The Souvenir Logbook was developed for people who plan to drive the Alaska Highway up through Canada and into Alaska. Each page has space for mileage, weather information, expense tracking, and a little over half a page ready for your journaling. There are beautiful photos on the opposite pages depicting all parts of Alaska; there are also pages in the back designated for other bookkeeping purposes, including a checklist of viewed wildlife.

Although our vacation driving started in Anchorage and went to Seward and Homer, I used the Logbook as our vacation journal. I simply wrote as many pages per day as I needed to record our memories(the logbook gives you about 35 'daily' pages). I found it convenient, handy, and an attractive keepsake.

A MUST HAVE for anyone contemplating traveling to Alaska via land. This is the seacond book I"ve order over a ten year period. Up to date changes were made. I've yet to take my land journey to Alaska but will get an updated Milepost before I do.

I plan to use this book to keep a record of my trip in 2012 to Alaska. I only see one problem with it. I do not believe it is long enough to record a whole summer worth of notes on the trips. I will probably end up buying another or just using a cheap notebook to record my everyday notes.

The milepost is great for travelling in the far north. It gives you mile by mile information and since distances are great--it is helpful to know where the next gas station is; where the next bathroom is: where the next picnic place might be; what there is to see. Ads are interspersed and are noted as advertisements--they provide valuable information as to what is available. Although not everything is noted, it gives you a sense of the upcoming community. I found it valuable when travelling to Alaska via British Colombia & Alberta and also travelling to the Arctic ocean via British Colombia, Yukon, Northwest Territories,--going to Inuvik, Yellowknife, Calgary.
