"FAT TIME" on the Jazz Door label is the same CD as "Miles Miles Miles" though easier to get and cheaper! Don't be fooled by Fat Time cover (it says recorded in USA)check discography on plosin.com/milesahead.

I was prompted to write this upon reading the preceding review, all about money.
That particular reviewer's wallet matters notwithstanding, this double-CD set is simply priceless. It should suffice to say this is unedited live material. For instance, the recording of "Jean-Pierre" on CD2 is the full take from which the "Jean-Pierre" on the "We Want Miles" CD was excerpted; only here do you get the whole performance. I would however like to add that the recording quality is pristine and incredibly intimate. You get such a sense of proximity (listening with headphones at least) that you feel like you are right there on stage. As regards the performances, I will insult neither the musicians whose playing is recorded therein, or your own knowledge of jazz. If you've read this far, you know who you're dealing with. Bottom line, and the only one worth talking about: this CD is a priceless sonic recollection of an amazing modern jazz sextet performing live at Shinjuku Nishiguti-Hiroba, Tokyo, Japan on October 4, 1981.
