This Milescraft 1007 Rotary Tool Tool & Blade Sharpening Kit definately fits the Dremel 4000 & has 22°, 30° & 45° angle attachments similar in design to the 30° Dremel 675 Lawn Mower Blade & Garden Tool Sharpener. The versatility of 3 different angles is convenient & the design & fit is almost identical to the Dremel unit. The Milescraft stone also appears identical.

Milescraft instructions suggest:
The 22º guide head is intended for use with thin cutting and slicing tools, such as tool blades, knives, & hoes.
The 30º guide head is intended for use with medium thickness blades for chopping & digging, such as shovels & shears.
The 45º guide head is intended for use with heavy duty cutting tools such as lawn mower blades.

The Dremel 675 Sharpening Attachment is a 30° angle & uses an orange 932 Aluminum Oxide Grinding Stone.

I really like this tool. It fits to the Dremel easily & quickly & I found it simple to align my blades for sharpening. I do have a Chef's Mate Professional sharpener, but this one ads something to getting the best edge I've had in years. I will continue to use both, but I can easily see this being used as an only sharpener too. The guides are particularly useful as I've never done well keeping a consistent angle when sharpening my knives.

I have a number of knives that had gotten very dull, and never had much luck with either a whetstone or carbide sharpeners. This device is fast and easy to use, and puts a very sharp edge back onto a knife. The key is that you have to remove a pretty significant amount of material from the blade to get a sharp edge back. Carbide sharpeners can't do this and it would take a long time remove enough metal with a whetstone. But it only takes a couple of passes with this tool. This is better than a larger grinding wheel as it does not get the blade hot, which can damage the temper.

You will get a rollover burr from the last pass thru the tool, and this needs to be removed. The best way is with a leather strop (the back of a belt will do). Just pull both sides of the sharpened edge backwards along the strop a couple of times. This will remove the burr and leave a fine, sharp edge.

This will fit any Dremel brand or similar rotary tool that has the threaded nose for mounting accessories.

I use this tool all the time. The multiple tips allow for different angles to grind your blades at. Of course you cant really sharpen a knife blade or blades on a hand or bench plane. But this tool does a really good job on lawn mower blades or scissors or maybe an axe. Pretty much any type of thick blade that does not have to be razor sharp. It will put a sharp edge on many types of blades.

The bit ground down faster then the lawn mower blade did. I tried to use it to sharpen my lawn mower blade, but I think I did more harm than good.
