4.0 out of 5 stars Superior Router Base
If you can get past the initial centering set up (plastic centering pin;a one time procedure) and the base is securely bolted to your router, this system is superior to anything else out there. The bushings can quickly and easily be changed and are solid. They exhibit very little play once locked in place. The outer offset rim is likewise easily mounted or removed with...

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of time and money
This looked like it might be a good idea, but I was wrong. The biggest problem is the centering pin, intended to be chucked up in the router's collet and used to locate the base and the bushings center. It is made from a soft plastic, giving visible runout when the router is spun by hand. You can push on the pin and get any runout you want, except a true center. Not what...

Not what I was looking for in terms of an accurate accessory. I'll stick with my old metal bushings.

What a waste of money. The plastic base simply is not stiff enough to prevent it from flexing when moving it around when routing. Do not waste your time or money ordering this.

As said, this is a poor design made from flexible cheap acrylic that is not even flat.

4.0 out of 5 stars Superior Router Base, April 30, 2011
This review is from: Milescraft 1205 TurnLock Universal Offset Router Base Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
If you can get past the initial centering set up (plastic centering pin;a one time procedure) and the base is securely bolted to your router, this system is superior to anything else out there. The bushings can quickly and easily be changed and are solid. They exhibit very little play once locked in place. The outer offset rim is likewise easily mounted or removed with the same twist system. The piece affords some extra base land area if needed in order to span a wide gap. If the rim is removed, the round acrylic base is your typical clear round base for fenced edge cuts. Overall, this is a very fine product!

1.0 out of 5 stars Junk - good idea - poor design!!!!, May 23, 2010

I tried using this one time and won't touch it again. It is going back! It has about 10,000 holes in the bottom leading you to believe that it should line up with most routers. I tried installing it on my Porter Cable and it didn't have holes that lined up. I ended up using the "universal slots" to install it and now it can move on the slots - not the way to install a router base, but I thought I would try it out. It is almost impossible to keep flat, the "extra support" is worthless. The whole base will flex just from the weight of the router and be way off vertical... whoever built this has never used a router in their life! Don't even think about buying it. I'm going to make my own offset base I think... the idea is good, but this thing is a ruined woodworking project waiting to happen!
