The Milescraft Model 1207 Design InlayKit allows you to create hundreds of designs, inlays and beautiful patterns with your router. Create a myriad of exciting patterns and inlays to decorate or embellish your workpiece with the Design Inlay Kit. Give cabinet doors and deck posts a distinctive look, create small cutouts or artistic lacework, and even build one-of-a-kind furniture-pieces. Four easy-to-use templates are included in the kit allowing anyone to produce patterns, cutouts, and intricate lacework-pieces. Choose from geometric, petal, heart, star, circle, and bowtie shapes. Use the provided Pencil Guide to design your own creations. Cutting and etching are done with your plunge router. A universal router base plate is provided in the package to allow usage with most routers with a base diameter up to 7-1/4-inches. Package comes with 2 router bits (1/4-inch V bit and 1/8-inch spiral bit and 3 turnLock bushings.

I've never tried anything like doing inlays. I purchased this set on Amazon and the first time I tried to do a inlay was great. My first atempt didn't do to well on cutting out the heart inlay, my second atempt went great I cofident the more I do the better I'll get and the more I'll enjoy it. SO FAR IT'S A BLAST I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING TO DO INLAYS TO PURCHASE THIS KIT.

This really is a very easy jig to set up and operate. It does make very nice designs and snug fitting inlays. The provided templates do quite a few different patterns. The one thing I would like to see Milescraft come out with is a blank template that you can cutout your own pattern. They suggest to make a copy of their template to produce your own and I would much rather spend the time doing inlays than getting my own blank to fit perfectly into the holder.
