Instead of the normal 50,000 words of (possibly terrible) first draft material, twenty-one authors decided that AugNoWriMo 2009 would be a different adventure for them. One that included not only birthing an idea, but also penning it, and editing to publication standards within a thirty-day period. That, however, did not lower the quality of any of the short stories in this collection. Each tale is told with a different and distinctive voice in perfect clarity. They leave little to be desired.

Milestone has stories from multiple different genre: from literary fiction to horror to comedy, among others. It really is a book that has a little bit of something for everyone. Each author was able to create and share their own little world to help represent AugNoWriMo proudly in print for anyone to see.
