More than likely, a millstone.,
By Samuel Chell (Kenosha,, WI United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 100 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Milestones (Audio CD)
The rating is not for the music--all of the tracks are classic 1940s Bird sessions with Miles on board, so the music is unequalled even when it has to compete with grating surface noise. But this is another of those European misrepresentations that spikes sales and suckers the unwary consumer by using the same title as a more famous and popular recording by the artist. Having recently wasted my money on a similar "impersonation" of a cherished session (Sinatra's "Close to You"), I'm learning to read the fine print. In not so fine print, incidentally, is the manufacturer's flagrantly false claim of "High Quality Sound."

Previous review not about this album.,
By TBob (Western Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Where's The Blues? (Audio CD)
Very confusing. The previous review is quite negative but it is not even about this CD. It must have gotten misplaced somehow. I'm giving 4 stars for samples I heard somewhere else (it actually sounds pretty good) but my main purpose is to point out the error here. Three people have found the previous review helpful, and it would be if it were placed with the proper album, but it's only misleading here, unless I'm missing something.
