There are few books on the subject, but Don's book is the best. He has the artist's eye and reproduces the buttons that don't photograph well. He is an expert in the field and brings that expertise to the subject. If I had any suggestions for improving the book, I would like to hear about some of his interesting finds and how he goes about getting good pieces. I always like the personal stories and believe it adds to an already good book. The Revolutionary War is not as popular a collecting field as the Civil War (certainly less pieces to collect), but it is exciting and important and should gain in popularity.
