This is a good quality vest and I really like mine. It has 4 mag pouches which easily accomodate 2 M4 mags each (total of 8 mags) and it has 2 smaller grenade pouches. It also has clips for a web belt. I have a 2.5" belt and it fits fine. All pouches are velcro with a snap buttons.

The vest is fully adjustable. I'm a pretty large guy and it fits me fine. It has two cross straps in the front that are adjustable, shoulder straps that adjust the length of the vest and laces across the back that adjust the girth. There are also a couple of rings on the back that can be used as an attachment point.

However, these are not new. Mine was clean and in very good shape, but there were some small scuffs on it and some duct tape on the shoulder strap. All things considered this is a very good price on a decent little tac vest.

and that's exactly what I received!
this like new tact vest is built well, dirt cheap, and is without a doubt, worth it's weight in gold.
I have a .308 and can't use the mag pouches to hold my mags but since I'm fresh outta grenades, the grenade pouches hold one 10 round ar10 mag just fine.
like it, love it, glad I bought it!

Let me start by saying that I believe that simpler is usually better when it comes to tactical gear. I'm amused when I see a guy all "tactical-ed" out with more pouches and magazines than he knows what to do with. I prefer a simple, accessible, and comfortable approach. This is an ALICE compliant load bearing best from the Vietnam War era and I love it. Light, comfortable, and natural is what this is all about. The clips on the bottom latch onto my ALICE pistol belt perfectly and the 4 magazine pouches are placed and positioned very well. Even the 2 lower grenade pouches are good for loose ammo or small tools. I use this vest everytime I shoot outdoors to carry my magazines (great multiple pistol mags per pouch or single AR 15 mags per pouch) and I really enjoy the idea of carrying a light load that won't weight me down if I want to hike a little between shooting. I recommend this vest for the shooter who keeps it light and comfortable. Note: I bought mine used and while it came with some duct tape on the straps, it came right off and went through the washing mashine with no problems (hang dry in the sun for a day).

This is a real U.S. Army combat vest in new condition and it fits well and is very user friendly each of the large pockets only holds 1 Ak-47 mag because they are bigger in size then the M-16 mags. I know this was made to use with the M-4\M-16.

Overall i bought this to use it with an ak rifle and mags the 4 mag pouches gives you a good load out!

Buy one now worth the money!

My pilot husband flys from the east coast to the mountains of the west each summer. He wears a traditional aviation safety vest which is made of nylon netting and is cut like a normal vest. It makes his neck ache and is a pain to wear. We searched the net for something better and I found this on Amazon. It took a few weeks to arrive and was well worth waiting for. It is a brand spanking new military vest which we have customized for his aviation needs. We cut off some of the bottom hanging tags and stuffed the pockets with the best safety gear. The best part of all is the vest has areas over the shoulders that are padded with foam so the entire load of the vest contents are carried on one's shoulders, not around one's neck. It is very light, weighs four pounds loaded and he is VERY happy with it. He now wears it in his plane and the vest does not interfere with over the shoulder seat belt harnesses. The price is unbelievable and we keep recommending it to all our pilot friends.

Because this is a technically used item, quality will vary from seller to seller. Some may be basically new, others like mine was not as described, it was listed as Good condition by seller but it missing snaps, one on shoulder with no Velcro back up (making for a nice useless flap of webbing), one grommet is almost all the way out - others are fraying....LOTS of old dry electrical tape is all over it the cording and webbing-taking it off leaves residue behind. Highly disappointed as this was to be a Christmas gift - it looks like I bought it at a garage sale :(

That being said - the key is to buy from a seller who has a good reputation 95+ my seller replaced the vest really quickly and the replacement is great and the kid was totally geeked :)

This is the real deal. My LBV arrived in new condition. Even had(inspected by 14) tag placed inside one of the magazine pouches. This vest is way heavier duty then the LBV's that we trained with while in Marine Corps boot camp(reissued Vietnam era). Shoulder pads are beefed up and all velcro and button snaps secure flawlessly. Top pouches will fit 2 AR15 GI mags snug, and 2 Pmags very snug but still usable. Second set of pouches fits 1 mag comfortably and since civilians usually don't have access to grenades, the grenade pouches can fit about 5-6 shotshells each.

I had an older LBE setup with the Y suspenders, pistol belt, ammo carriers, and a drop-leg holster. By swapping this vest in and removing the suspenders, I added another four 30rd AR magazines to my previous loadout of four 30rd mags in the ammo carriers. The magazines I loaded into the vest are Magpul PMAGs. Two had the rubber "Ranger loop" floor-plate and two did not. The pouches holding the longer floor-plates barely closed, but the pockets carrying the PMAGs with standard floor-plates closed securely with no difficulty. The grenade pouches were a tight fit for a SigPro magazine each; plenty of room width-wise of course, but a little short for use as magazine carriers.

The vest should fit most folks, with adjustable straps in the front and back and paracord lacing in the lower back connecting either side of the rear panel to the side panels. It took a bit of time to get everything adjusted just right, but it fits well now that I have done that. There were lots of hanging straps, but I squared them away with electrical tape and that is to be expected with anything that is made to be adjustable to fit all sizes. I am 6'4", 250 lbs, and there is plenty of room to make the vest bigger. You are going to have to be a big guy for this thing not to fit. Even if that happens just add more paracord and you are going to be fine.

I haven't field-tested this thing at all, but it seems very sturdy. If you are thinking about buying this, go for it!--just make sure to buy a pistol belt to make it wearable.
