I was planning a trip out of town for a convention and was in need a comfortable/stylish sling bag to carry little things with me or if I bought anything extra I would not have to hold them around in my arms all day. I came across this sling bag and thought it looked great and would suit my needs.

It was shipped to me pretty fast, in fact I didn't really realize it was my bag when until I opened the envelope. It was smaller than I was realizing and the odor was really really strong. I decided to give it a chance to grow on me and I got use to the size, it would definitely suit my needs and it won't be a hindrance to any obstacles or people I walk by. The odor went away after a couple weeks, it is pretty feint now but if you have Febreeze spray, I would recommend using it by spraying it inside the compartments and the bag itself, maybe let it air out outside.

If you are expecting a huge bag to carry a lot of things for hiking or school with big textbooks and even 15" laptop, then this bag may not be for you. The zippers seem like they don't fit the capacity of the compartment its zipping up, for instance you could fit something bigger inside but you cannot get it past the zippers. That is really my only gripe about the bag. Overall I am pleased with my purchase; I can fit books, papers, iPod, PSP, camera, and any other everyday type things along with me.

Oh and for the sake of this review I am a male, very stylish and sleek looking bag for any gender.

i just got this bag delivered, it kinda has a smell that would go away after a few days, read through the review that spraying febreeze makes it go faster, and im trying that, let me just say that this bag looks small but it can pack a lot of stuff, i will be using it mainly as my travelling bag, for work, since i walk a few blocks, i have another clothes that could fit in the side pocket (i didn't even know it was there when i ordered it). and i have a few of my electronics in the front pocket.

there are a lot of pockets, in this bag, very comfortable when walking around, and seems durable for daily use. would probably use it for hiking or going to outdoors.

i only give it a 4 because of the smell, i wouldnt say it was really bad, but it came from the manufacturer, i guess..

I like the style of this day pack, but the individual pockets are a bit too small to be as useful as I would like. The zippers do not stay closed so I am considering adding a loop and hook to each one to "lock" them in place. The bag had an odor that cats found interesting and I found unpleasant. Fabreeze worked to dispell or disquise the odor, but this is not an item I would reorder.

OK, as the other reviews say, this is a smallish sling pack, but perfect size in my opinion for this type of bag. The main compartment is perfect for my iPad and fits my netbook great as well. The top pocket fits some business cards, and the smaller pockets carry cables, and it looks great!
The bad news is that it smells like gasoline. I tried a couple of rounds of febreeze and an overnight in front of a fan, but that didn't help. Finally broke down and ran it through the washing machine which washes off the black dye so much, that I worried that if I had sweat through my shirt while carrying this thing, I'd probably have black dye all over. After taking it out of the washer, I noticed that my hands were also slightly black. The washing machine water got so dark, I thought I might have left a pen in the pack. Anyway, when it came out, the colored parts were faded like old blue jeans, but I kind of like the look. However, the smell was only slightly diminished. Another round of febreeze, and few hours sitting outside in the breeze, and 30 minutes in the drier on tumble have probably lessened the smell by about 25% in total. Kind of amazing that it won't go away. I will use it and assume that it will fade with time, but it certainly is persistent. The canvas is now thoroughly broken in those, and I prefered the slightly more crisp look when I originally got it, but I thought I'd share my process and see if anyone else has any magic cures.

awesome item thought it would be a reguler school bag but it wasnt but i like i am a college student where i carry small binder books. everything i carry fits in this bag. its awesome thank you never new it was in black but i am going to order that one to. thank you.

When I received this item it looked good. All the zippers are functional all the pockets look good. The color matches everything that I wear. It also has handles in all the right spots. You can sling carry it or carry it like a brief case.
It's also a good concealment bag. I can carry my laptop, camera, Ham radio, and pretty much anything else that I need to thow in there. The good part is that no matter what I put in the pockets, or which way I'm carrying it, nothing falls out of the pockets.

when I ordered the bag, my intention was to use it as my school bag by going on the dimensions listed, but when I got the bag it was quite a bit smaller than I expected. The actual dimensions of the main compartment are 12x 11x 3, clearly not big enough for several books and binders.

This is a great little bag for my Kindle and ipad. Looks fantastic and is just the right size, will be carrying it instead of a purse. Lots of room and pockets. Got it yesterday and threw it in the wash right away due to the smell. Now airing it out with a couple of dryer sheets.

I had been looking at the Maxpedition series of backpacks and was pleased to find this one as it's considerably less expensive. My uses aren't that demanding in that I plan on using it for an emergency bag in my vehicle.

The quality was better than I expected and I'm glad I didn't shell out the money for the other manufacturers that are over twice the price of this one. There are plenty of pockets of varying sizes which cover all the items I've packed and allow me to segregate items into dedicated pockets for different categories. The stitching appears durable and should hold up well over time. The shoulder straps are comfortable. I've worn it on a biking ride for about 3 hours straight without any discomfort

Overall I'm very satisfied and there's a good possibility I'll purchase one or two more to use for other purposes.

This is a nice bag -- but if you're looking for something for a student, it is too small to fit a binder size item or any amount of schoolbooks. We had to return it and get something larger for my son's third grade work.
