The book merely points out a few basic moves without going into detail. Definitely not worth the money.

I am a big fan of Mr. Spear and own several of his books.Theyhave all been useful in my study of hapkido. This book presents the reader with useful knife techniques. If the reader will devote some time to some dilligent study,he/she will learn how to defend him/herself with the blade. Mitch Jenkins

Difficult subject,
By James D. Crabtree "Doc Crabtree" (Fort Leavenworth, Kansas) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)

Spear has put together a good introductory volume on knife fighting, well-illustrated with photos showing techniques, stances, grips, etc. The intention of his techniques is to show you how to WIN with a blade, because losing in a knife fight is bad news indeed. While no book is a substitute for a visual presentation of better yet one-on-one instruction this is certainly a good start.
