Delightful by all means, December 28, 2003

I love coloratura and the Baroque style the most. When I do listen to Romantic music I tend to go for the lighter material - exactly what this album has to offer. By saying light, I speak nothing of Korjus's techniques. She had a very sweet timbre, especially in the high notes and she made everything seem so effortless. I even prefer Korjus to Sumi Jo for that there is more mannerism in historical recordings which I seek.
It is also simply fresh to hear things sung in a "translated" version from time to time. How about "Les Filles de Cadiz" as "Die Matchen von Cadiz"?
