This is a great book for learning about the whole process. Our 2.5 year old loves it although some parts are a little more complex than I had hoped they would be. We read it often, and he now knows milk comes from cows (and goats) and not just from the store. He will probably make us buy goat milk soon. :)

This book is triffic, I read it and leared some new things about milk production!
Colorful pictures and easy to read words makes this book an exallant way for children to learn about milk, and they should! Milk after all, does not come onley "From the store" and is not man made! And what child does not love a glass of chocolate milk or milk and cookies! So sit down with your child and read this book and teach them whare all thair yummy milk really comes from!

Before I made butter from heavy cream with my 3 year old preschoolers I wanted to teach them about where milk comes from. This book presents the material in a very straightforward manner. It also goes beyond the 3 year old level in talking about pasteurization, so I would say it is very useful for ages 3 - 7. It is nicely illustrated and clearly written.

This is a great resource for teachers and students. The book does a great job of explaining the milk process. After reading this book, it is easy to make butter by putting 1 tablespoon of heavy cream in a 35mm film case and shake it rapidly for 3-4 minutes until butter is formed! Kids and adults love to do it.
