About the Author
Raquel Benatar was born in Morocco and spent a good part of her life in Madrid, Spain. Her rich cultural heritage and her vast experience as a child psychologist have inspired her to write children's books about the lives of extraordinary people of Hispanic origin such as Isabel Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Rigoberta Menchu, among others. She is also the author and editor of the series Legends of the Americas. Raquel Benatar lives in the East Coast and enjoys the opportunity to share with young readers the exceptional life of Milka Duno.
