5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cup for many uses!!, December 8, 2009
This review is from: New 30 oz. (Ounce) Malt Cup, Milkshake Cup, Blender Cup, Cocktail Mixing Cup, Stainless Steel, Commercial Grade
I have been using these cups exclusively for drinking all potable liquids for years and I can't recommend them enough. They clean quickly and reliably since they have a seamless, rounded interior, don't hold odors, are comfortable to use (except with real hot stuff like coffee where they get very hot) and last for years since they are almost bulletproof. They are not totally indestructible though-- 4 original cups and after years of ROUGH use, I lost one the other day, dropping it (for the 50th time) and when it hit the floor on the rim, it deformed enough that the rigid stainless rolled lip split, creating an opening to the interior of the roll which could hold dishwater so I retired it. It could still safely be used to drink from another part of the rim but no problem since they are quite inexpensive. I now use it as an appropriate size scoop for dishing out dogfood to my 2 standard Rat Terriers but I can think of a dozen uses for it in sthe shop or garage.
I swear by Amazon but these are sold by one of their business partners whose shipping policies drive the price of the item way up. I purchased mine at a kitchen supply store in a nearby outlet mall at approximately the same basic price listed above. Tax, of course, is added but doesn't come close to current shipping prices.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This was far less costly than the originals and fits a Hamilton Beach restaurant grade milk shake mixer perfectly. It arrived promptly and without damage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic item for smoothies, popsicles, and soups, September 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: New 30 oz. (Ounce) Malt Cup, Milkshake Cup, Blender Cup, Cocktail Mixing Cup, Stainless Steel, Commercial Grade
I bought this because I was intrigued by the large size and the thought of not worrying about the smoothie or popsicle mix overflowing as it was being immersion blended. Mission accomplished! This is a fantastic blending cup and then drinking cup. And a 9-ounce can of nuts, the plastic lid (under which is the peel-away metal lid) fits perfectly on this stainless steel container. Also, being that it's a non-reactive material, it's better for blending tomatoes and ginger and other such items as opposed to using anything plastic.

Smoothie: 1 cup NF plain yogurt, a splash or two of Naked, 100% Juice smoothie "Mighty Mango," a ripe peach and/or blueberries and/or strawberries. All fresh. Haven't tried frozen yet.
Popsicles: see the great Mark Bittman's article [...] I like the creamy ones. Experiment with using less sugar, a teaspoon at a time. And don't cheap out on dollar store popsicle molds. Tovolo popsicle molds are great; find them here in amazon.

I see Amazon won't print a link. That's too bad. Just google Mark Bittman summer popsicles and it'll lead you to his summer ice pops article in NY Times Magazine.
