4.0 out of 5 stars Better, but not best, December 17, 2010
This review is from: Millennial Crutch-Tall: For patients that stand 5' 7" to 6' 7" tall.-Pack of 2 - Folding Crutch, Ergonomic Grip, Crutch Shock Absorber. Millennial Crutch provides for a comfortable experience while on crutches. (Health and Beauty)
I purchases these crutches about 4 years ago to make traveling w my crutches easier. I am an amputee and do not use my crutches all day long, so I was disappointed that after only a year of use the pads on the handels wore out. Needless to say, the metal beneath that is v uncomfortable. I did like the spring feature, although it was a strange sensation at first, having used my old wooden crutches for 9 years. At first I felt less safe with the spring crutches bc they felt less secure, but I did notice less pain. The other feature that took some getting used to was the large shepherd's crook at the top. It felt odd, and to be honest, a little too long. Although the callapisble feature is great, I still have trouble traveling w these crutches bc the top part is too wide to fit easly in my luggage, thus defeating one of the primary purposes of the crutch for me. Here is a breakdown of my review:
Durabilty 3 of 5 stars
Comfort 4 of 5 stars
Convenience 4 of 5 stars
Traveling 3 of 5 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Crutches - Better than the regular torture devices, November 21, 2010

These are, by far, better than the regular torture devices handed out to all the injured in the world. These are ergonomic and allow you to walk with less pain than regular crutches. Crutches are never fun, but these allow you to walk upright instead of being hunched all over. The spring loaded absorbers help put the "spring" back into your step. GET THESE if you need crutches!

5.0 out of 5 stars great crutches!, October 4, 2010

Purchased for my son who used them on trip to Europe. The ability to easily disassemble into approximately half its length was a plus when loading onto the plane or traveling in car. More comfortable than your traditional crutches in that the handle is ergonomically contoured, and the feet are spring loaded to reduce jarring. They have also been extremely durable in that they were used for 3 months, and covered many miles of crutching.

I'm so happy I purchased these. They are much better than the old conventional crutches. The spring action feet are a godsend and help eliminate the pounding your underarms take when using them.

4.0 out of 5 stars A big update to crutches, April 19, 2011
This review is from: Millennial Crutch-Tall: For patients that stand 5' 7" to 6' 7" tall.-Pack of 2 - Folding Crutch, Ergonomic Grip, Crutch Shock Absorber. Millennial Crutch provides for a comfortable experience while on crutches. (Health and Beauty)
My husband's been on crutches numerous times and when his old ones started to break, we decided to try the In-Motion type. They are certainly a big improvement regarding wrist strain and absorbing shock. Being able to fold them instead of having them stick out the car window is a big plus, too. The reason he felt the need to deduct a star was because he found them more difficult to navigate stairs with than a crutch without the spring/shock absorber feature. Also, he found that when it was warm out and he was going a bit of a distance, the perspiration from his hands made the handles slick. They are great conversation starters though ;-)

One suggestion to the manufacturer, a video on how to set adjust them and use them would be a big help. Have them see how to properly adjust to a user, demo the proper technique for use on flat surfaces and stairs. Post it on your website, refer to it in the documentation and users will be better able to take advantage of these crutches have to offer.

Let me start by saying, I HATE CRUTCHES! They are not fun in any respect. That being said the difference between regular crutches and is great. The crutches were easy to put together and simple to use. The adjustment took a moment to get right, but it was not hard. Overall I was very happy with the purchase.

I am impressed with this new crutch! I happened to see these on a local news channel and thought, Wow! This is just what my husband needs. Because of polycystic kidney deasease and calcifacation from too much phosphorus, my husband had many by-pass surgeries on his legs to restore circulation. Unfortunately, he still lost most of left foot and part of right foot. He has trouble with a walker (wobblely, unstable and not tall enough)...horrible balance...so these are really going to be a miracle for his chance of walking again!!
