Millennials into Leadership was perfect for me. The information was up to date and rather than a lot of dusty academic theory, I felt like I was getting tips that are 100% current in today's job market. It's a very action-oriented book and gives lots of specific instructions about how to handle all kinds of situations. Oh yeah...it was fun to read. You can't say that about a lot of business books.

I just loved Lisa's Orrell's book, The Millennials INTO Leadership. She really gets what these younger generations are thinking and feeling, and where they are coming from. And she knows where they want to go. She offers great insight for any young person that has ambition for being an effective young leader in the world and in the workplace. And, she knows how to tell them what they need to know to reach their potential and achieve success. For myself, I am a Baby Boomer, and I gleaned great insight for better understanding this young generation, so I can better relate and work with them. I have just written my first sales training book, Just Treat Me Like I Matter: The Heart of Sales. And it is full of information about "what make people tick," especially in the sales arena. So what I like about Lisa's book, it breaks down what I know and segments it into the world of the young Gen Y's - and that is a rich offering in itself!Just Treat Me Like I Matter: The Heart of Sales

Millennials Into Leadership is a great resource for any Gen-Y'er who is looking to get ahead at work. Lisa provides extensive information throughout this book that will help Gen-Y take a leadership position, stand out and achieve. Lisa's understands the needs and wants of different generations and Gen-Y has to learn how to work amongst multiple generations at work. If you're a Gen-Y'er, then you must read this book.

Lisa goes beyond the standard advice and gets real. Her topic is relevant, as Gen Y's have a lot to contribute and deserve to be respected. The days of not being heard until you "pay your dues" is over.

Practical and insightful, this well investigated book is one of the best resources for supporting Generation Y's toward developing successful careers and meaningful lives. Holiday gifts for my son and his friends, business colleagues. Perfect gift.
