This review is from: Millennium Collection-20th Century Masters (Eco-Friendly Packaging) (Audio CD)
The Allman Brothers Band. These Southern Rock legends have had numerous collections released over the years, and in 2000, they got a collection in UMG's 20th Century Masters series. Read on for the positives and negatives.
Positives -All of the big hits are here. 'Melissa,' 'Jessica,' 'Blue Sky' and 'Ramblin' Man' are all here. -The sound quality is excellent, as are most of the CDs in the series. Negatives -I would like to have seen 'Statesboro Blues' or 'Trouble No More' here, but they appear on a live volume in this series. Overall, this is a great place to start, but buy this with 'A Decade of Hits 1969-1979' and you have most, if not all, of the big hits. Highly recommended for the new or casual Allmans fan.
