Well crafted I look forward to more from this author,

This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was well written, the story line and the characters were developed nicely. One wonders if something like this could happen, with the way computers are now so much apart of everyday life and the world preparing or not preparing for Y2K its almost frightning what could happen. Massucci has given us a very realistic story.

A TRUE PAGE TUNER!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
Joseph Massucci knows how to keep you guessing! His characters are very real, and he gives them everyday qualities -- heroes who drag themselves from bed in the morning in their underwear. The action scenes take place in that movie screen in your mind. You clearly picture members of the SWAT team making their way down Chicago's ancient, leaky water tunnel beneath Lake Michigan. And what a great villain -- Alexander Skile is a fascinating blend of greed, perversive sexual dysfunction, cold-bloodedness and an affinity for a good time. Massucci also knows how to put a twist in a story. As the tension mounted my pulse rose to the point where I thought my chest would explode. The only time I put the book down was to catch my breath. Fast paced action at it's very best!!

WOW!,

This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
I just read "The Millennium Project" and thought it was great! Started reading it last night and finished at 3:00 am. I couldn't put it down. Great Plot, with all the twists and turns and equally great characters. Someone needs to make a movie about this book. Would make Rambo, Terminator 2 and the Die Hard movies look like Disney flicks. I'm recommending it to all my friends and fellow investors in Y2K stocks.

There are better Millennium novels,
By Harold Junitas (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
As a millennium afficionado, I have read virtually every millennium novel under the sun. This isn't near the top of my list. I expected high tension and excitement, which PROJECT never really delivers. Of all the millennium suspense thrillers, only one captures the madness and nerve-wracking chills the subject demands, and that is Glen Kleier's THE LAST DAY. Simply a brilliant, thought provoking read that kept me up to the wee hours on the edge of my chair. I will read it again and recommend it to anyone who wants a spectacular wayto commemorate the passage of the millennium.

Not Really About Y2K,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
I found this fast-paced thriller very engaging. But not because of Y2K. In fact, rather than boring me with computer bugs, the story is a fascinating (albeit violent) look at industrial and financial terrorism, a diversion I found refreshing, not to mention thrilling. I don't believe the world is about to come to an end from this computer glitch or even the second coming, but obviously some people do. And this book takes a breathtaking look at what might happen if some of those crazies exploit our vulnerabilities to gain real power. Apocalyptic headlines aside, I enjoyed this book for its likeable characters, fast story and loads of suspense. Just when I thought it was safe to get on an airplane at the stroke of midnight, the book's master terrorist starts pulling them from the sky like toys. And there's even a good piece of common sense in the book: when our terrorist uses computers to play havoc with aircraft, an old helicopter is put back into service in order to avoid disasters. I must also mention our heroes' use of chemical and semi-biological computers with massively parallel capabilities -- this is absolutely awesome technology which, I understand, is considered to be strong possibilities for the future. And there's so much more here to enjoy. All-in-all, a great read!

Loads of Fun!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller. I don't know if Massucci's technical descriptions about computers, gunships or the inside Chicago's hundred-year-old water tunnel are accurate, but that hardly matters. I had a great time! There was just enough description to thoroughly convince me. His characters are interesting, the storyline is engrossing, and the pacing is fast. I couldn't put it down. I'm very interested in what else Massucci may have written.

Begins With A BANG!,

This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
I just started reading The Milennium Project on the train this morning, and had to offer my rave review! I'm so used to being bored with the beginning of a book, waiting for the fun stuff to start -- the beginning chapters of The Milennium Project were so good I didn't want the train ride to end!

Fast-Moving Y2K Terrorism,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
The plot intrigued me and I wasn't disappointed. The Millennium Project involves a group of high-tech terrorists looking to capitalize on impending computer failure which will make it easy for them to immobilize global financial markets, as well as create ecological hazards of gargantuan proportions. Massucci's style is in the same league as the likes of Clancy and Crichton, only with a little more sex and violence.

Massucci's Best Yet!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is definitely Massucci's best work yet, dare I say even better than his previous "CODE: ALPHA"! Like his previous novel, the frightening situations in "The Millennium Project" are all believable, and more importantly the characters all seem real with human motivations. The novel's heroine, Julie Martinelli, is no soulless, cardboard cut-out, but a genuine person whom we can understand and identify with. The action is, of course, great, but it's the human touch that earn this novel its fifth star from me.

Great Plot,

This review is from: The Millennium Project (Mass Market Paperback)
I couldn't put it down. Interesting characters, a great plot with a number of twists, and plenty of sex and gratuitious violence. It's about 350 pages, but is a quick read. The basic plot of the book is that a group of terrorists uses the Y2K panic as a cover for an attempt to destroy the world's financial markets. But there's a lot more to this basic plot than that. Read it. Great fun.
