I have all 3 sixes of the Miller Drill Bits and Dowels. They are a classy way to join wood pieces. I use TightBond III waterproof wood glue and power drill. There are several types of dowels (oak, walnut, ...) so you can either have the dowel end match your project or become a feature of the end product. You should also have a very flexible Japanese pull saw to cut off the tops. Ths is just a good way to make a rather ordinary project look like it came from a master craftsman.
